DAY 3 PRACTICE THREAD

Lay off Olsen, hes a redshirt freshman who just hasn't put it together yet mentally or on the field. If its motivation hes lacking right now, I doubt hes gonna transfer schools.

Let him develop here as a backup and who knows maybe he turns into something in a couple years. I'd much rather have him as a backup than crow.

I have a feeling that Kevin Beard is goign to be doing a lot of WR coaching and Brennan Carroll is gonna be more of an offensive ***'t.

:stephenahand: Relax. Kevin hasn't done a single thing on the field, that's where judgement is being passed. Not all of the other stuff you're posting. Reports are he is irresponsible, got popped for weed twice, spring game was a disappointment, and so far he's been a disappointment in camp. Is what it is man.
 
Lol @ whoever that was penciled allison in for next year..... He 2016 bubba... yall keep sleeping on Lawson who brings another dimension to the game that none of the current QB's possess (ok maybe Rosier but who's really thinking he plays). I don't think Olsen goes anywhere if he does then he stupid for real. Next year it's just going to be Kayaa Olsen Rosier & Lawson as the only scholarship QB's ya heard me..... Olsen still can take over even it's his RS Junior or Sr year. He just got to accept the challenge.
 
Qb from Oklahoma was a true freshman and he did his thing vs. Alabama!

Maybe, but McDermott is a huge liability, he gets manhandled by better comp. The **** cops should have been called during the UF game, Easley was just raping him.
 
Is it too much to ask to find a place for the interviews where there is not some constant annoying background noise

Easley was a first round draft pick even after missing a lot of time due to injury. I'm not sayin McDermott is the best C in college but can't hate him for getting beat by a very very good player.

He's a serviceable C, do we have a better option? Probably. But he's got the experience which we will need since we're going to have an inexperienced QB at the helm.

You are 100% correct about MeDermott! He got pushed back more than hair over a bald spot! Dude get no push and I'm sure it's even more evident in film sessions. If he's the best center we got then that should be a position of priority in recruiting!

People don't like answering that question, in light of their desire for Kaaya. True freshman almost never, ever, thrive--especially without benefit of Spring reps. It's almost unheard of. They may flash some of the future, but the case simply isn't there to expect 30/10/65% from Kaaya.

And that NEEDS to be ok. Because if he does win the battle this year, it is unfair to him and the coaches to expect a milestone year. It's going to be a grind, he's going to look clueless for stretches, and that shouldn't be held against him disproportionately.

this happens every year. they crown a recruit as the next coming. When said recruit gets here and fails to walk on water the first year, the player is then labeled a JAG or "he wasnt that good anyway". When that happens the cycle repeats itself because they begin hanging off the nuts of another 17 year old "savior". Kind of a sick cycle IMO. Really speaks to the kind of lives some people have. They live vicariously through the actions of 17 and 18 year old.
