Last year he said it, some of these runs are meant for the rb to react to what the defense is doing. If you seem them collapse inside then break outside

We saw martinez do it, fletch does sometimes, we saw mallory do it instantly when he got in. Not every inside run is meant to go inside, rbs gotta read the blocks
 
Never understood the hate for the guy. People complained because Dawson got too "tricky" or "cute" last year. Lets face it, we were not an explosive offense. We were built to be a power run team. He used all that trickery because he had to create explosive plays for our players. This years talent doesn't need that, our players can create explosives with our basic plays.

This season will be awesome offensively. Next game Wake will drop back and play soft because of Mensah Toney and the rest of our receivers. We will run it down their throat.

The dude is a great OC that gets the most out of our guys. We couldn't play this style of ball last year because we didn't have the capability to do it (jimmys and joes). People act like Dawson just chose not to lmao

if i’m being honest, i just don’t think fletch reads those particularly well. he really does remind me of derrick henry- he’s at his best on those outside zone pistol runs where he can get a full head of steam. as you said, we saw javian mallory play a lot more decisive when it came to bouncing runs to the outside.

Limited offense, QB who openly said he had broken arm and spirit that he had to build up and get something out of when he tried to win heisman against louisville, rebuild offense with TE who ran 5.0 forty and complete nonfactor and injured/fat overweight podcast hyped TE, one WR weapon who should still be in high school and strong oline but run game based on duo but they struggling to run.. He got that unit to produce in mali cat and squeeze it to Natty.. While taking shots about A gap runs not working when Mario openly says its his run game and he fist pumping on sideline lol
 
3 years in a row he's had a brand new QB come out the gate looking like they've been in this offense for 5 years. we're going to miss him when he's gone. it's honestly a minor miracle that we've kept him this long.
