u been banging this drum all season and I’ve been on the bandwagon. Thankfully we made that adjustment

Dawson nearly cost us this game.

Here are the first 4 drives:

1st drive - 1 rush, 7 yards, 1st Down
2nd drive - 1 rush, 10 yards, 1st Down
3rd drive - nothing
4th drive - 2 rushes, 20 yards, 1 1st Down

Unless your IQ is what you killed along with hess, I’m sure you can figure out what to do with your RB.

I’m not sure if you need to replace your tampon. The team played superb today, and Dawson himself said he called a poor game.

I like Shannon, I think he will adapt - but to call him out for today is in no way moping.

You first said the wind was a factor for not calling running plays, then that Fletcher didn’t have a good YPC. I’d get that checked out.

which made me scratch my head. Mali is the only guy on offense anyone talked about all week. You KNEW they would be prepared for him. Those same old gadget plays had no shot.

I hope he presses reset for the OSU game.

Listen bro, I didn’t say either of those two things. Maybe you inferred them based upon what I did say. My point with the wind is that it’s not just as simple as some of you are making it out to be on here. There are many factors that go into a game plan. The other team clearly knows it’s hard to pass. Again there are a million other things too. It’s odd to come on here and complain about it today. We won our biggest game in 25 years. I never said fletch didn’t have a 12 YPC. OP said why not force feed the guy averaging 12 YPC. Well he wasn’t averaging 12 until the very end. It was closer to 6 for at least half the game. Listen, the other poster was inflating stats to make his point. That is all. I never said Fletch was bad.

Anyway, I’d prefer to celebrate instead like a normal Cane fan.

He tried to do something different and it backfired entirely. I wrote a thread prior to the game - mistake-free football is a premium and with a month off, nothing is more certain than mistakes.

Ultimately, we got it done, and credit to us, but he'll be the first to say that this was bad.

What you are failing to mention is we had several opportunities for big passing plays in the first half, we just flat out missed the throws. The only thing in my opinion you can really get on Dawson for is the trick play stuff just wasn't working and he kept trying.

These guys are weird AF.. now they gonna say the a gap runs is what works.. no one has issues if something is working.. these guys just don't know how to adjust in game..

FIRST FLETCHER carry in the game chat I was like burn the game plan and run Fletcher down their throat.. they not ready..

EVERY first half touch when Fletcher broke a big gain, they immediately tried to do some malichi ****.. even after halftime in traditional drop back NOT on 3rd down beck had success, we immediately stop and try to do some trick plays.. this was not the game for that and they did not see it at all.. every announcer at halftime was like feed Fletcher more..

I usually like Dawson, this was his worst called game since he been here.. it's like he thought the heisman award was still available and was **** bent on running trick plays to win it for Malachi instead of feeling what works..

Now they will try to throw shade at fans who said try something else than run up middle while they caught 2 losses in middle of season.. it's like there is no nuance wit these guys
 
Why wasn't Fletcher used more from the pistol during the season? He looks like total different playing building up a head of steam and seeing the hole. Am gonna be honest, I do not like the shotgun running. Its ok to keep things unpredictable but I hate it as a main running scheme. But especially if you have big power runners as your RB. Im betting Marty could do some damage from that pistol. Give the big guys a head start and let them hit it. That's one thing i like about Heatherman he seems to be playing the players in roles where they are most effective. Dawson is too experienced to not be able to tell certain things imo

Don't think that's fair, we ran for over 200 yards missed 3 FGs and had several opportunities for big passing plays that were missed.
 
Y’all gonna fvck around and complain too loud that we gonna get HB dive out of shotgun again 30 times against Taint.

Just enjoy the victory.
