We all know Dawson has done a great job whether they give him an award or not.

38 points on 7 drives. That’s almost 5.5 every time you get the ball. If you average 4 for a season, you have the best offense in America. Dawson and the boys got 5.5 tonight.

This defense is getting to the point where we almost have to be perfect on offense. But guess what? We might be. Do we need to play better defense to win a natty? Obviously. But this offense is gonna give us a really, really good shot to beat anyone that gets in front of us in the playoffs. All Dawson has done in 4 years here is churn out elite performance after elite performance. We have a ton of insanely good players on that side, don’t get me wrong. But it’s a really well coached, hyper efficient offense. Again. Dude can coach some ball.

He can be streaky but I’ve enjoyed his time here for the most part. I’ll hate to see him leave after this year because it’s 50-50 the next guy will suck.

Hope the next guy is an air raid guy that defers on the ground game too.

The offense played a near flawless game. And that masterpiece would've been all for naught had it not been for Lightfoot making the only play the defense has made in almost a month.

Everyone would have been talking about how great the offense played in a loss had it not been for that play which gave us an extra possession.

I didn't say the defense played great (they sucked), I didn't say the offense or Dawson were meh (they were great). The only point i was making is that offensive effort has a W attached to it instead of an L, because of the play lightfoot makes

Give me the A- overall OC who has a proven track record when given the top Portal Qb.... vs the mystery box all day...

Would suck losing him next yr too cause Toney final season and his offense maximizes the Slot.....

Regardless what happens, I hope to god we don't go new OC AND Qb from within next yr. Idgaf if Nickel doesn't like it, can't risk that.

Yup sir, I’m one of those Canes that think Dawson is a good OC but I have to say he showed out against UNC…”A”. But Mensah and company make it all come together

We can complain about the defense and Heatherman (Taylor and Lewis deserve to wear some of it too) and rightly so but we’re going to win out if Dawson keeps stacking up games like this. I refuse to believe our defense can look worse than we did against UNC.

Dawson has been good this year. Quite a few wrinkles to his norm which have saved us from 2 losses.
We likely finish 4+ losses this year without him

I'm not trying to be negative. Some of the run calls in the redzone weren't great. Especially at the end of the first half. He called a good game but guys were making plays. Lofton hurdle, Mensah off schedule. Few runs getting bounced. I feel like he's schemed up better games. Most of this was our Talent taking over.

By comparison Petrino called an A+ game.

This is the corner we needed to turn. Championship stuff.
