Dawson offensive tempo

Called this out last night. 4 wr spread out just standing same position every play.
 
A faster tempo works too well. 85 coaches can't see it like kneeling.
 
Too much tempo at the wrong time can sink your defense by not giving them proper rest. We need to pick our battles better when to use tempo. Can’t have it all the time. UNC used tempo perfectly last night

I doubt UM would be willing to use wrinkles, if they even have any. they don’t get much live reps in a 4 wr spread unless they fall behind. That should be there default formation and add wrinkles from there, I’m tired of those tight formations.

Yup. Clemson’s strategy on defense will be put 6 in the box with their great front 6 and zone the **** out of TVD. On passing downs, Clemson just has to rush 4 with their DL. Gonna be a long night if we stick with a similar gameplan we had as GT and UNC.

it feels like if we didnt get down double digits early, we might have not abandoned the run and gone w the pass attack that we did against atm based on every other game we watched. this is trying to marry two Diff coaching styles into one and it isnt working. the offense isnt scoring when the game matters and is on the line against conf teams so far.

Clemson got 2 Rueben Bain's on their D line. They have 2 stud freshman DL. Last week I had Miami beating them, now I am not sure

UNC atleast uses tempo, we were down multiple scores, getting smoked and still being mEtHoDiCaL, even announcers were like what is going on? Meanwhile UNC uses tempo and dictated and seemed to wear down our defense 2nd half..

I hate to say it, but MARIO. He has to have a say in this offense. What I’m seeing is not AIR RAID. We just spreading people out, but not using CORE AIR RAID principles I guess. Nothing wrong with trying to establish the run, but I haven’t seen TEMPO either.

We’ve been getting killed in 3rd quarters against conference teams. That tells me the jig is up on our base offense and Dawson hasn’t shown he can adjust or he adjusts too late.
