You just made my point lolNot fair.. Jacolby George was ALWAYS open. Other guys got open. Our best wideouts this season couldn’t get Seperation. But they were alone the guys who we could depend on. Gotta bite the bullet. The scheme always looks better with better talent for sure, he could have done a better job. Not his best first half but he had to reset.
I’m sorry, but it’s time for Dawson to goBeck did not have ability to hit some of the deeper routes. He just didn’t have the zip or anticipation. If Mensah can give us 75% Ward and Dawson can give us playoff rushing attack with the outside zones, we will cook. The same OC that got us the #1 offense last year is the same one that got us to the championship this year. He’s not perfect, but he has the ability
There is a diferencia between limited and non existent for a halfIt’s easy to nitpick play calls that don’t work, but this offense was limited all year and it’s more personnel related than play calling related.
Our passing game beyond 20 yards was basically non-existent. Next year with Mensah is going to look more like 2024.

Exactly. No one is saying he’s terrible. He’s actually a pretty good OC. I just think, based on where we’re trying to take this program and how we’re projecting ourselves as a team, good might not be good enough anymore. We definitely need a new OC.
Time and again he wastes plays and possessions with his unimaginative, conservative bull****.
We went from not being able to move the ball on Ole Miss, OSU and Indiana to lighting them up and having them on skates. Just because he got in his bag a little bit.
He doesn't develop QBs and he doesn't consistently call good games. It's time for us to mutually part ways.
The game played out exactly like the Louisville game. I thought i was in the twilight zone. Same bland A gap runs. We are a running team, we should have 35 different formations running the ball. Our passing game we can say we are limited. No true outside #1 and no TE. Being stopped in the run game, we have mo excusesWhen you can’t run the ball and can’t throw the ball/get separation that’ll happen.
I know we want to control games but mixing tempo would have been effective in hindsight.
I do have a complaint after we scored in the 2nd half… in no circumstances should we have gone 3 and out twice. You can not do that after scoring and your defense stepping up 2 times in a row.Real talk we had one guy in the passing game. CJ Daniels could not consistently get separation and struggled 2nd half of the year. Marion is a returner who we used as a go to guy in a lot of key situations when defenses were keying in on Toney.
We need legitimate downfield threats in the passing game to open up the field for Toney. We did not even have reliable TE play this year.
The design on the Toney TD was there, and on the Fletcher TD with the fake pitch to Toney in motion.
Dawson’s fault is his lack of feel at times and inability to adjust early when things aren’t going his way. But after the first half, I have no complaints with the game he called
Indiana literally went through stretches 13 hours ago where they did nothing. This isn’t unique to Miami. It is perplexing why we so often go through stretches where we do nothing on offense. You cannot spot a team like Indiana a half of zero offense.
Can someone elaborate on what we did differently in half #2? What adjustments were made on our side - if any - and is this a matter where Dawson is slow or stubborn to make changes.

Nah I'd say it was ST
