Dawson Did It Again

One game where we literally kept it on the ground most of the time. Barkate had a 61 yard reception, but overall that was the most "off" night Mensah has been. It's the exception, not the rule.
Agreed. Good point I think Mensah’s worst night was v FSU regardless of his stats.

506 yards total in kicking Pitt ***. Total domination. I'd argue he is the best OC in College Football right now in 2026.

When he inevitably gets that HC offer, we will miss him dearly.
Pitt run defense looked strong, and giving them different looks in the backfield helped.

Also extending the run game with the screen plays.

What I liked more, was backing off of the slow developing plays and giving Mensah more looks in the intermediate passing.

I think we needed that last season to reduce Becks mistakes, and we need that more this season to makeup for the OL in pass-pro

Those throws have been there since
Game 1. Mensah, however, hasn’t taken them. I think Dawson got on his *** about it after FSU where Mensah failed to take many available throws and put the game in jeopardy. Dawson did the same w Cam Ward in 2024

Miami just put up 506yds of Offense & 52 points.

Currently right now, at this very moment, Miami is ranked:
- 1st in Total Yards per game
- 4th in Passing yards per game
- 18th in Rushing yards per game
- 1st in Points per game
- 1st in Explosive Play Rate
- The highest TD rate

We have the #1 Offense in the Nation for the 2nd time in his tenure at Miami & this is coming off making the National Title game last year with a Turnover prone Game manager with an average arm.

Miami is averaging 49 points a game, with 2 Heisman candidates on Offense.

yeah yeah yeah thats cool, but have you considered having a flashier name like Sark, Locksley, Chip & Dip Kelly, Art and/or Kendal Briles, Dan Mullen or even Ken Dorsey (the OG, not the one in Greenville, NC)?

That's 1000x cooler than some shlub we hired from Houston.

If Dawson was the OC of an sec team all those same Cane fans that **** on him would be crying for us to hire him.
i hear there's a couple guys who came thru Bama that would be INCREDIBLE

Thank you @Memnon! I thought his uptempo spread offense during the Pitt game was the perfect counter to Pitts aggressive pressure. I would have liked a little more Mallory but aside from that Pitt was selling out for the run. He called a great game.

Yeah I've seen some of them.

He has the tendency to not get back to the check down quick enough.

I also think he needs to get mobile a little sooner, as we saw against Pitt, and not let the pocket collapse on him.

We are combing dissecting with a fine tooth comb at this point lol but I hear you. A couple check downs, 1 forced pass that almost got Mali killed and he can use his feet a tad more. We are talking about a guy that completed 80% of his passes for almost 400 and 3 tds. With some dudes in his grilll.

Are you taking any other QB in college football right now over Mensah? I’m not. Not even Mestemaker. I don’t care if he’s the better “NFL” prospect.
