Because he stands out as a physical freak at 6 foot 6.5 or 6 foot 7. Franks was also top rated. Davidson also threw for 1600 fewer yards and had a significantly lower completion percentage. Abrams is ranked way ahead of Davidson for a reason. We absolutely killed it this year for the first time in forever to quote Elsa up in here.

He hasn’t visited ND. UGA is not stressing him. They are tryna beat Bama for Elijah Haven.

They want Dylan Raiola, Jared Curtis, Elijah Haven & Jayden Wade type of five-star quarterbacks.

In other words, if DD were to commit to either of them he’d look like Kevin Hart iykyk.

His offers are regular. & Auburn + Kentucky — two of the four schools in his finalists — pursued Abrams aggressively unlike their recruitments of Davidson.

Bro stop making up lies about the kid. He threw for 64.6 percent last year and has only played football through HS. This kid shot up 800 + spots for a reason and has a good chance to finish as a top 50 player. We liked Israel better and it’s the only reason this kid won’t be a Cane.
 
Davin was either us or UF the entire time. If Israel didn’t commit then this would’ve been your QB.

Remember at this point in the recruitment cycle, all offers are reported and not all offers are the same. Any player can claim a full, committable offer rn, doesn’t mean every offer any player has is committable at this time. Doesn’t mean that his aren’t, but I’d imagine the bigger schools wouldn’t accept a commit at this moment.

Not so sure about that. He seemed to be trending away the last couple of weeks. Guessing due to the depth chart and the portal QB concerns.

Holland said that Abrams "seemed like a Miami guy" when he met him at OT7. Possible that Davidson is a "Bull Gator" type who fits into that environment.

If Abrams didn't materialize, we might have been in trouble.

Maybe I’m wrong because Admittedly I haven’t been following recruiting too closely lately but to me it looked like we were stringing Davidson along until we got definitive answers from either Menci or Abrams
