2027 David "Tre" Segarra III 4* RB from Duncan, SC (Byrnes HS) Commits to LSU

Penn State is hopeful it can get Segarra back on campus for an official visit. But sounds like the Nittany Lions do have some competition in that regard. Segarra visits Miami this weekend (unofficial visit) and will likely decide by the end of this week (possibly ahead of Miami visit) if he'll take June 5 official visit to Penn State or Miami.

— Tennessee and South Carolina have been the longest-tenured contenders in this recruitment and it's up to the Hoosiers, Cardinal, Nittany Lions, Hurricanes, and Tigers to overtake the Vols and Gamecocks down the stretch. Would keep an eye on the Hurricanes this weekend and if Mario Cristobal's program, which has made Segarra a priority, makes a move once Segarra is in Coral Gables.
 
Per a source, Top247 RB Tre Segarra will visit Tennessee tomorrow and into early weekend. He had been slated to visit Miami, but now that trip is off and he’ll be in Knoxville instead.

Also sounds like odds of Miami getting an official visit are now lesser.

Confidence1000 you live in Duncan?? I lived there for about 8 years before moving to TN here recently. When I first moved there my now wife introduced me to "Byrnes Football", I had never seen anything like it before. ( her cousin was an olineman during the years of Willy Korn, Marcus Lattimore and company.)

Yeah! They were a Powerhouse then. My nephew played for em! I’m from Spartanburg though & went to Spartanburg High School
