David Thompson Westminster Christian is in this mock draft for #6 over all pick for MLB draft. David is playing SS/3B for Miami and QB in football. What are the chances he is here after the MLB draft in May?

I hope this works out but Last years (2011) #6 MLB was also a 3rd baseman and this was his Signing Bonus of $7.2M before he got a salary in a four year deal.

i wasnt counting on him being around anyway.......because hes gonna get drafted in june and its tough for anybody to pass up that kind of cash.......especially an 18 year old kid

it seems like right now he is probably further behind crow and dewey at this point in his development........but hes probably the most athletic kid we have of the 5 qbs on the roster
 
I would rather he stay and play baseball for us. Let the kid dual sport if he wants to.

I hope he does stay. I love going to 'Cane baseball games, and it'd be fun to see him out there helping us get to Omaha.
 
If he's taken in the top 20, it's almost impossible to not go pro.

But we'll see what happens.
 
True. Smart move is to take the money now. There are no guarantees and you cant turn down millions right now. If he fails he can come back and be our Brandon Weeden

A bunch of other mock drafts don't have him going in the first round.

He doesn't have ideal measurables for a high first rounder
