David Lake

I don't know how, but I managed to listen to Gaby's 18 minute recap of the FSU game. That was a tough task. Whatever is going on over there, I know two things:

1) Lake is the reason that podcast is good
2) Gaby cannot carry it alone

Truth.

Although the funny thing is I used to HATE Bud in the early SBN years. He was a total Nole homer and it didn’t help that they were actually good back then. He’s matured a lot as a podcaster and analyst.

I really hope Lake isn’t gone for good from Through the Smoke. Gaby is a good dude but he needs the help as others are pointing out.

Bud is the most mature one on the Cover 3 podcast and that's saying something lol
 
I wonder if 247 has a podcast contract and a writer contract with their folks and he just isn’t settling on a podcast deal with them as of now. Because someone said he was still writing last week right? Either way, 247 will have to replace him with something because Gaby is bad lol

and yet you listened to the entire podcast.

Not sure why people hate on guys that provide content about the team they follow.

I find Gary Ferman annoying so I just don't listen to him.

Well I originally thought maybe Lake would chime in but I was mainly listening for the recruit feedback. It wasn't a long show but was painful to listen to. I'll read the caption from now on and if it only has Gaby's name, I'm not listening.

No one is hating on everything about Gaby, just that he can't carry a podcast or hold a thought on his own. His writing never bothered me.
 
Haven't listened much to any podcasts, but would there be a consensus for the best ones when it comes to the Canes?

And I know it’s not the most popular take, but I actually like having Gaby and Lake on their own pod. I like Lake as a guest on the show with D$ but I also like having a few different places the content comes from.
 
Lake making that comment alluding to Bud Elliot ending the Nolecast because FSU sucks probably tells you where his relationship with 247 is heading.
