Yeah kids have been seeing us not just talk about it but be about it. Mario is already an excellent recruiter, add Money, proven development, and results on the field…. Let the top 5 classes pile on in

Top classes follow top seasons. Two straight years of 10 wins and tons of media hype will help 2027 be special.

With kids singing super early the 2027 season won’t matter as much. I expect a top 5 class. It will be Mario’s best class from a rankings standpoint.

I just don’t think that is happening. He has been a monster for us this year but he a literal man(24) playing amongst boys and will be 25 before the draft. When you couple with the fact that he this is his first year healthy, someone will have to really really like him to take him day 1. I think either way Mario will be able to sell development regardless after what our DL has played like this year.

Ed Reed was a 24 year old rookie. The NFL also drafted Brandon Weeden who was 28.

The latter was a QB which is handled differently than any other position. In terms of Reed it’s not just age, which there is still a significant difference between 24 and 25, the other issue is the injuries. It’s a major concern that gets compounded with the age.

Take the orange and green glasses off here. I still think the guy goes day 2 which in its own right is an accomplishment. I just find it very unlikely he will go day 1 despite his great play this year.

He’s going to get 1st round looks if only due to the fact that this DE class is not very deep at all. The kid Cassius Howell got eaten up by Bell and Cici and he was supposed to be the don-dada. I don’t think anyone is saying he’s a 1st round lock..but posters saying he won’t even get 1st round looks is just as premature. We beat OSU and he has another 11 QB pressures like he did against TAMU and that only adds to his resume.

I don’t think nfl teams care about age or anything just that you can get to the **** QB and bring the pressure or sacks

Look at AQM still in the league racking up sacks…. Von miller is up there in age because he just causes havoc,.. **** my Dallas cowboys have clowney still out there as their pass rush specialist. I’d love for them to grab Messidor

Don’t see age as a defining issue. What you wonder about are the medicals & previous issues. Great kid & player, so hopefully nothing that would impact draft status.

Yes, it’s one year further along in a player’s on the field life cycle. Not only that but I looked up Ed’s age and he was almost year and a half younger than Mezi. Players that old are expected to make instant impacts as they are already in their prime.

I hope Mezi gets drafted in the 1st but I highly doubt it. Will happily eat crow on this one if wrong.
