There has been some testy recruitments between Mario and Meyer/Day going all the way back to when Mario was at Bama and Meyer was at UF. Mario doesn’t forget.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Day encouraged Jeremiah Smith to make those comments last week.

I think we get DJ after yesterday. Who knows if he flips this weekend. I am starting to think MM may announce this weekend after yesterday. I would expect another commit from someone else who was already going to before. I will guess we could get 4 by Tuesday, but I only feel confident in saying we get 1 for sure at the moment. The optics alone would be cause for them to overpay.
Getting dudes flipped is part of the game unfortunately. But losing the number one overall is just bad for business.
Especially considering the animosity between the programs.
