Like let’s say we did still recruit him, what on earth would stop the exact same thing from happening of him just taking Ohio sts last offer/match and going there anyways?

Pass.
Right. There’s no reason to budget for a player like this. Yea, it was cool he was rated #1. Sounded good to me too. Hel fall and theyl be better recruits with better attitudes. Don’t jeopardize the culture which we worked so hard to re build.

This definitely wasn't a last second change of heart. He has this created/posted pretty much immediately after he committed.

He had this brutal lego claymation crap ready to roll on Instagram. This was a work by this kid and Day. It was not an impulsive 15 minutes ago flip kind of thing. This was designed to hurt us. His offer should be revoked. His brothers offer should be revoked. If in the portal we should not offer. He has forfeited his opportunity to be a Cane. He can enjoy Ohio

It's one thing for a "stranger" to do this but a kid whose family has close personal ties to a UM coach/alumni? That's pretty low.

Maybe the kid wanted OSU all along and kept it to himself because the parents pushed Miami.

A thread on the UGA board said the parents liked the relationship with Jason Taylor...

The whole thing was odd. He didn't drag it out at all. Just pulled out the hat and kind of laughed.

He talked up his relationship with Jason Taylor, then commits to play for a (currently) 73 year old position coach. Good luck with that one.

This is why recruiting sucks

You see immature behavior from recruits, other coaches and way too much importance gets put on it

It’s become theater and gamesmanship

Zero chance my kid would or could pull that. Zero. And I can confidently say the same about my buddies’ kids. I’ll just leave it at that.
