Is the a recent pic? I thought all the coaches have been on the road.

Seems strange that JT would be at his school on Monday and then a few days later all the coaches AND the entire family would be back in Miami.

Mom and Dad look a lot happier here than they did in his commitment video though.

No
This appears to be on campus, so def an older pic. Whoever this guy is that runs this account does this **** all the time, its high key annoying af lol.

Jacobs made it clear that he’s very happy with his commitment to Ohio State and doesn’t have any plans to visit other schools at this time.
....
Mario Cristobal is personally involved in this recruitment

Ruh roh, Mario done took this personal. Usually doesn't end well for the other team when it comes to recruiting.

Development at OSU? As opposed to getting one-on-one coaching from an NFL HOF?
It's not a serious answer. You can't watch the run we just had and our DE play and say that with a stright face. It's the "right" thing to say but it isn't honest. Kids make their decisions for all kinds of reasons, sometimes not the best ones, but they know what to say to make it sound like they thought it through rationally.

Turning Mesidor into a potential 1st round pick is about as good as you can do "development" wise.

Bain was always a specimen and showed a lot as a freshman.

But mesidor is 100% being considered in the 1st round because of his skills/training.

I was puzzled by this response also. To be fair, he committed to O$U before we beat them and going on the massive run to the championship game. When he committed, O$U had the history of putting elite DEs/Edges into the league and we didn't. That game was a clear signal however, that things have changed.

OSU does have a lotta guys in the league but the Bosas came into Columbus playing like beasts from day 1. Regardless of the job you do, when you coach the players you can claim credit as a position coach albeit I do believe Coach Johnson is a good position coach. Doubt he is there for too much longer though.

This is more of a larger aside rather than reflecting on what he said, but this season just made us more bulletproof when it comes to edge rushers however nothing has really changed as far as putting people in league. We were already there. We are just now more bulletproof in terms of being an elite program to go with the NFL pedigree.

Meisdor and Bain were projected top 50 picks before the playoff run; before the season really. Jason Taylor and Damione Lewis are Jason Taylor and Damione Lewis.

As a program still have just put Greg Rousseau and Justin Phillips into the league as first round picks very recently. Jonathan Garvin should’ve came back for another year, but he is still in the league. AQM just had a massive resurgence with a 11 sack season on the Lions. Oliver Vernon, Allen Bailey, and Calais Campbell all have had long careers; somehow Calais’ is still ongoing lol.

Mario coached Kayvon Thibodeaux for his whole career too. So we are really bulletproof at DE. Whether or not we land him, we have the best to offer from a holistic standpoint.

OSU's D-line coach will be 75 years old before Jacobs plays his first snap and 78 years old by the time Jacobs is eligible to declare for the draft. He might even be the oldest position coach in all of college football.

LJ has had an impressive track record of developing guys. But Jacobs is lying to himself if he thinks LJ will actually still be there to develop him.
