2018 DT Dashuan Mallory from Illinois is still unsigned due to his test scores, he supposedly retook them on March 10th. He is a strong Mich State lean, but I like Miami's chances if we offer especially with being able to pitch being coached by a former NFL dline coach.

The 6'3" 270lbs 3 Tech has a very quick first step and plays with good pad level to maintain leverage while disengaging from blockers. He has had grades issues but those are also supposedly corrected. Mallory has the frame to add another 20lbs and maintain his first step quickness.

With Miami needing additional dline help for 2018, coach Simpson should kick the tires on this young man's recruitment.

You just mentioned that he has grade issues and bad test scores. If it's bad enough that he couldn't even sign with Michigan St., I could only imagine what admissions at Miami would tell him. And "supposedly" is the key word here. Because if Miami did have interest, and with our depth issues I doubt Miami turned him away on skill, but are not bothering because he wouldn't qualify at Miami. This seems like this will be a JUCO kid.

Coach Simpson was not a position coach with Atlanta FYI. Not that it makes him any less of a stud coach.

I am fully aware what coach Simpson did for the Atlanta Falcon's. He was Bryan Cox's assistant what do you think he just stood there and held a clipboard or other things for Coach Cox. Unlike in college, NFL assistants actually coach players, so to say he coached dline in NFL is applicable.

Touche, you must be an attorney. Well thought out and just ****ish enough to keep most from disagreeing. However when you say "especially with being able to pitch being coached by a former NFL dline coach." I ask has he ever had the position of defensive line coach in the NFL? NO. He assisted the d line coach. Splitting hairs maybe.

He has brought his grades up and now is just waiting on his test scores from his retest on March 10th.
