Confirmed Darrell Jackson hits the portal

You could be in the NFL in the near future and you're getting "homesick"? That's like the excuse Miami can't play in cold weather, then all of a sudden players can up in Green Bay or Buffalo. It's BS, if you can't make friends in the year you've been here then you got other problems.

Well, you'd be heading that way. If recruiting is marked by losses of top targets and decommits. If Gattis stays and we have a repeat performance on the field, all the talk that Mario needs to be allowed to work his magic over a "3 year plan", well that stretches to a 5 year plan, and so on.
As of now we have one of the best recruiting classes we've had in years.... We're barely two weeks from our last game.... Lot's of time for things to pan out... Mario has made some mistakes but that's fine, he can recover from it... we're not anywhere near doomsday.

On the field we are….
Nahhh we just got a bad reality check of what happens with bad roster development from the previous staffs.... And yes Gattis didn't help matters much at alll, I won't deny that but it can be fixed.... Let Mario work.... We're barely two weeks from our last game... plenty of moves to be made from now to the start of next season.

The portal giveth and the portal taketh. He can go if he's really contemplating leaving. We need complete buy-in from every single player on the roster if we really want to turn this thing around.

Not buying the homesick angle here. Dude went to Maryland and then to Miami and now he decides to go home?

One has to read between the lines...remain with program which not only had worse year than Maryland program he bolted from, or jump at opportunity to play for program which killed his team, located near his hometown with former hs coach and teammate in program.
It is not that hard.
The alleged homesickness is just an excuse....this is the time of year where alot of players have "sick" parents and grandparents.
