Explains the move of Crawford to RB, at least for spring.

Can't imagine we'll ever see Hall in a UM uniform again.

Miami Hurricanes' third-string tailback Darion Hall suspended By Steve Gorten Sun Sentinel 7:16 p.m. EST, February 8, 2012

CORAL GABLES— Miami Hurricanes running back Darion Hall has been suspended indefinitely.

Coach Al Golden told CaneSport.com on Wednesday the suspension was due to violation of team rules.

Hall, a 5-foot-10, 190-pound redshirt sophomore from Naples, was slated to start spring football practice third on the depth chart at tailback behind Mike James and Eduardo Clements. The revelation of Hall's suspension comes one week after Golden announced that redshirt freshman Dallas Crawford had been moved from cornerback to running back for spring ball.

Asked last week why he had decided to move Crawford, Golden noted he wanted to give Crawford, a Wildcat quarterback in high school, a look at running back. Hall, whose name was no longer listed on UM's roster Wednesday, saw action in just one game last season – against Bethune-Cookman. He did not have any carries. sgorten@tribune.com. His high school coach said that he was not surprised. Said Darion got in trouble his senior year and was surprised Miami took a chance on him.

When you have a guy like Duke Johnson coming in, and you have another guy at his position who (by all accounts) doesn't do all the right things off the field - well, you gotta make room somewhere.

Depth be damned - let's turn this roster over as much as possible.
