You think we have no chance @ Mike Leach?

Oh for sure. Leach covets the job. But Heupel is a Leach disciple, knows the local area, and has made his own very effective version of the Air Raid. I like Leach a lot, but he might be too controversial for the BOT. Heupel is cheaper, younger, and as far as I know, free of controversy.

Leach would come

But the mongoloids that make the decisions have had well over a decades worth of chances to bring him in

Being a blue collared yes man >>>>> winning to our BOT

Stoops and Whittingham aren’t leaving where they are. Neither is Cristobal IMHO
Not sure why Babers would either TBH

Stoops would leave Kentucky 1st chance he got, Cristobal would probably take the Miami job too. Whittingham probably wants to retire at Utah. Babers is at Syracuse, that’s why he’d leave...

Stoops buyout this year is $15M
He’s already making $4M
And they’ve given him a ton of stuff

But yes I’d still call him first or second. He hasn’t regressed since he got to Kentucky.
Maybe you’re right about him leaving and Injust don’t think we’d do what it takes to get him

Heupel is the one dude not at a P5 school. He knows he will NEVER see the playoffs at UCF. He knows Florida recruiting and has one of the best DCs in the business at his side. Would be the best (realistic) hire.

Shannon best in the business lol

If you're best in the business you arent a DC in UCF

It means that he's a dumb hick and we already have one of those here, and neither he nor another fat face in a creepy orange tie seem to work here.

Jimmy Johnson was a dumb hick. Butch Davis was a dumb hick. Both seemed to work out well here.

He gets to stay in Florida, at a low pressure job and makes 1.7 million (UCF salary plus UF buyout) that's a sweet gig.
He is one of the best DCs in the business. That's a fact. Miami had the #2 D in Havoc in Diaz's third year, with a roster of 4 and 5 stars, after Diaz flopped at all his other stops. Shannon managed to have the #13 D in Havoc in his FIRST year with a roster of 1, 2, and a 3 star recruits. He has been tops in havoc for a decade. Dont have to like him as a HC but he is an outstanding DC.

How come they can pretend they are soldiers? The thing is, they aren't actually in the military. I ought to have Mike's Pirate School. Tshe freshmen, all they get is the bandana. When you're a senior, you get the sword and skull and crossbones. For homework, we'll work pirate maneuvers and stuff like that.
I love Mike Leach

Wow havoc!!!!

Let me know when he doesnt let memphis put up 30/41, temple 40+, and FAU 36

His one season at Florida you know with 4 and 5* his scoring defense was ranked 62

What's UCF's record this year? The defensive style of negative plays and turnovers (#18 in country) is perfectly suited for UCF's high powered offense. Turnovers give the offense more chances to score. Just as a reminder, in order to win a football game, one team has to score more points than the other. It's a high risk high reward defense. Last year UCF D was #18 in turnovers. This year (under Shannon) it's #2, ahead of Miami. It's still a highly effective defense for the style of offense, which is part of the reason why UCF is currently sitting at 12-0.
