I think it could work but it’s not the ideal fit. I think Cristobal and Diaz are the obvious candidates, Babers, Whittingham, Holgorsen, Mark Stoops and probably a few others that might work. I’m still holding out hope that Richt can fix this and admit he needs an oc, if he has to be forced they should just go ahead and fire him.

Stoops and Whittingham aren’t leaving where they are. Neither is Cristobal IMHO

Heupel is the one dude not at a P5 school. He knows he will NEVER see the playoffs at UCF. He knows Florida recruiting and has one of the best DCs in the business at his side. Would be the best (realistic) hire.
