Dan Sileo interviews Kehoe

Art is a great guy, I got to spend a lot of time with him at the Chicago alumni event. He is a genuine orange and green blooded Hurricane. I know he catches a ton of grief but he is a great guy to have around the program.

He is. I listened to him tell stories at Canesfest in 2003. He could talk for days about UM.

People were just gathering around.

Kehoe was awesome when I met him. It was right after he was hired and you could tell how happy he was to be back.

Sileo can blow me, though.

You have to Love Art. He was my son's recruiting coach for the U. Great guy and great coach. No one sells the U better than Art -No one !

I've been one of the biggest critics of the re-hiring of Art, but his line is starting to show signs of fulfilling their potential which was my biggest concern. We'll need this line to play at their absolute best moving forward because we are about to face some stout dlines.

ND and FSU probably have the 2 best DL/front 7's in the entire country.

I'd say FSU has the best front four. Notre Dame may have the best LB in the country (until DP gets back...).

I like our O-Line against ND's front seven. FSU's D-Line has me a bit less optimistic, but we'll have to see how it shakes out.

Stanford and LSU would like to have a word with you

Never liked him and I always will (as a coach). As a person he is pretty good peeps. But I don't want good peeps, I want great coaches and he never was nor never will be.

Please explain to me your reasoning why he is and never will be a good coach? He's put a whole lot of players into the NFL that would indicate otherwise.

i just think his unit, year in and year out is one of the weak links of the team. Even during our glory days, we won with great D, and skill players that were simply light years better than the opposing guys. Not to say that there weren't one or two good OL each year but if you break down position by position, his unit will come up short on percentages that went on to the NFL. Only kickers and punters were less represented.

When was the last time the OL took over a season and we rode them all the way?

Art coaching up talented OLinemen was never my concern. going out and finding them was/is. but recruiting lists and offers start top down, so I think under golden he can be much more successful bringing in the right guys just like he was under Butch.

Miami's OLines have always been behind because South Florida doesnt produce OL men like they produce skill players. Kehoe has 5 rings and that is all that matters. He may not be the best coach but there should never be a doubt about whether he is good stuff. We can win championships with Kehoe as our coach so lets move on to a coach that doesnt have a handful of rings.
