I assume he is saying no gun policy on campus.. Not understanding the tool comment.

Should the hunters not be able to own a rifle or shotgun? What about the guys who have concealed weapons permit? Should they not be able have a pistol in their nightstand for personal protection? Just curious.

How many players live off campus? How do they pay rent?

If he has to repeat to his players that no guns are allowed on campus then he's got bigger problems

I'm pretty sure he means you can own a gun, you just can't have one on campus.

At most universities, only underclassmen football players live in the dorms. The NCAA allows a monthly stipend for players to live in off campus apartments.

Also, contrary to popular belief, not all football players are broke. Plenty of them get money from their parents, just like any other college kid. Since mom and dad don't have to pay for school, books or housing, they can afford to send a little spending money from time to time.

This reminds me of the Movie Tombstone where they make the law that you can't carry a
Nobody's saying you can't own a gun. Nobody's even saying you can't CARRY a gun. All we're saying is you can't carry a gun in town.
That is the FIRST thing I said to myself when I read that. You can't go wrong quoting Tombstone. Go Canes!

Quit trying to make sense.

This is CIS, where non-stories become this big thing. Better watch out, the amateur comedians will get rustled if you keep it up.

We had some similar comments in the past. Unfortunately the media likes to spin things making it look like all African American football players are gun toting thugs.
