Dan Le Betard Show - Miami Scoop

Y’all do the same thing to people you perceive as liberal. Both sides are ******* clowns.

Who is y’all? I never said anything about either side. My viewpoint on anything political doesn’t matter to anyone else besides myself, so I don’t portray it.

I simply stated that the way the interview was conducted was unprofessional, and i dont like how it was done.

did i strike a nerve, mike?

I usually don’t mind the lebetard show, but that episode where they interviews tafoya really changed things for me.

Mike Ryan was the main antagonist of that one, he was crying the whole time, and using double standards to get his point across, while criticizing Tafoya the whole time.

I had a lot of respect for Mike Ryan and his work until then, they’re too political now, they can’t help themselves, it’s horrendous. It’s okay to have your own beliefs, but if you don’t believe what they do, they try to crucify you.

They lost a fan that day, and I can confidently say I’m not the only one.
Everyone on all sides of that interview had clearly understood preconceived political positions. For Tafoya to claim "ambush" is just part of her new victimhood shtick and grift.

How exactly was she repeatedly interrupted? Because all she did was keep stopping her own inarticulate meanderings because she didn't like Mike Ryan's body language on the Zoom. Please. That was as weak as her own "evidence" about CRT at her kid's school. She refused to actually address that outside of mumbling incoherently about a "worksheet" and then running from it when pressed for specifics. Her other "evidence" was her son's minority friend no longer wanting to be friends and anecdotal stories from other parents in Minnesota.

I'd actually say that ALL sides were woefully under-informed and anybody that listened to it gained nothing unless they were previously unaware of the game Tafoya is trying to play as she immediately ran to Fox to cry to about the experience.

Or maybe you were unaware and now know about how under-prepared Lebatard and staff can when venturing into politics or how they hired a resident "woke" monitor in some intolerable Notre Dame grad that's almost 30 but her shtick is she's soooo young that she doesn't know what a payphone is. This same person that apparently only works on average 2 days per week and was conveniently absent to take on or be challenged by Tafoya.

God, I miss Mandich.

All fair points, and I don’t disagree with anything you said, she did interrupt herself based off his body language and what he was saying while muted, but having a debate with someone (if you’re mature) you would think people could have an intelligent conversation without using that kind of body language.

But yes, I do agree, it seems like everyone was under prepared, and I also 10000000% agree about their newest hire as well, who brings absolutely nothing to the show.

Agreed and I wasn't trying to really argue with anything you said but just wanted to offer my own overall assessment of that clusterf*ck of an experience. I don't think anyone emerged from that looking good.

I'm verrrrry a la carte with that show- which thankfully you can be with stuff in podcast form. I'll listen to the local hour if I see that Mike Ryan is talking Canes or if something blew up like this Tafoya thing but I can also absolutely understand how people can be turned off by the political discourse or giving Corben a platform....or how awful Smetana is.

Hahahaha! Spot on. She'd probably run to HR (if Lebatard/Meadowlark even has one) if you played that near her though even as she's like only a year or two younger than the youngest guy on the show.

Pretty non-progressive to rely on faux comedic ignorance of being a "young" girl to advance you career but that's typical Notre Dame ingrained hypocrisy.

All parties were woefully unprepared.

What did Tafoya think considering all the hosts' often stated polar opposite views than hers?

Any moderately prepared interviewee would have easily dismantled their looney toons comments.

I suppose thats the point right? Not good for ratings getting humiliated on your own show.

Never understood how that snitch still had a career in So Fla sports broadcasting after what he did.

Because he is in his environment in soFla, which is a cesspool for people who put money and career before their family, friends and, in his case, alma-mater. Don't forget Armando Salguero also participated in that fiasco and also remember Gary Ferman playing along with that colostomy bag stenographer from Yahoo sports....lots of rats in my hometown...we could use more pythons to alleviate problem.

I’m with you, I’ve become very picky as well… anything with Ron Mcgill, or even David Sampson, I’m in, I avoid the Corben episodes at all costs.

All parties were woefully unprepared.

This would be appropriate verbiage for a headstone of this era of civilization. We keep rewarding it financially and with attention though.

I think specific to this instance that it's reflective of a larger issue. I think we're more prone than ever to think every debate has a right and wrong side so it can skewer the perception but when is the last time you watched or heard two people going at it and came away with the assessment that it was an all around impressive discourse and you're better off for having witnessed it- even if your own opinion may have not been swayed?

I personally have a hard time thinking of examples. Maybe it was around here- which is a positive reflection on us and our diversity of thought but not so great in the grand scheme of things that this is where you'd have to go to find it.

Samson is the one of the biggest rats of them all! **** physically looks like a rat.

I don’t like what he did as an executive, or even as a person, but I do like hearing the perspective of a sports executive and how they operate behind the scenes. He’s generally transparent now that he’s out of the game, and it’s interesting to hear some of the things he talks about.

If this doesn't scream cuckhold beta, then I don't know what does.

What did he snitch?

For you and fellow young Canes who don't know (reminder to self that it has been almost 30 years):
Someone in the Athletic Department ran afoul of Federal laws by running an illegal Pell Grant scheme...as expected, NCAA latched on to this case when it became known several of our football players benefitted from this scheme...of course, national media such as Sports Illustrated and ESPN feasted on this but what really made this situation worse was local media piling on..in particular, Dan LeBatard contributing to a series of "exposes" of how reckless and lawless UM football had been for years. He wrote this from vantage point of having been beat reporter for program when he worked for school paper...of course, he bragged about he was boys with the team, partied with them and heard the stories, etc....so here you have someone who claimed to have benefitted from the perks and benefits of being associated with the football program who then turns around and does "tell-all" on program. He is a Rat and he knows it....his work fed into the hysterical Sports Illustrated issue about UM needing to shut down program....not long after this ensued in the mid1990s, I got into an email war with him, told him he was a Rat-faced snitch who was an embarrassment not only to his community and alma-mater, but to his Cuban community.....I told him it was too bad Fidel didn't toss his dad in one of his prisons although I suspect he would have done well there too because snitches and Rat's do well in dungeons....Fck him and his show...I hope his dad chokes on a dry pastelito.

He loves to dress up to the occasion.
Who can forget him on that stupid Corben "documentary" about UM football, dressed in all black "retelling" stories about the wild old days from which he later ratted his program. He was dressed in all black, including hat, as if he was some hard dude from the hood.
He is a poser.
