No, he was generally average to below average everywhere heā€™s called plays. His offense at Central Michigan never averaged even 400 yards per game. Every year he was at Arkansas, their offense got worse. Heā€™s managed to ride Mike Locksleyā€™s coattails to OC positions twice now. Arkansas will be at the bottom of the SEC west again.

Itā€™s almost impossible to completely fall out of the profession. No matter how bad you suck, youā€™ll eventually find another high paying job. Iā€™m curious if itā€™s just one big fraternity or if thereā€™s really a shortage of coaches out there.

You misunderstood, I never said he had great offenses elsewhere, just that he only "SUCKED" here. Generally average was much better than what he had here.

Generally average was much better than Gattis had here. Gattis worse offense at Michigan was much better than this past season at Miami.
 
Enos runs circles around gattis as a coordinator. Enos had this offense rolling for a 3 game stretch with the worst o line in America and a quarterback who was high as a kite under center in 2019. Gattis went 3 games without scoring a tdā€¦ā€¦

Enos would have had this offense in the 50ā€™s this year with the o line and qb play we have now in comparison to his tenure.

He was bad here but Donā€™t underestimate how bad gattis really was. A mediocre oc like Enos destroys him in every statistical category based on one season each at Miamiā€¦..and far worse personnel

Let that sink inā€¦

I was saying the same thing during the season. As much as we hated Enos, for good reason since he was a JAG OC, Gattis was worse. Gattis isn't a JAG. A JAG implies a body that provides some level of value. Gattis destroyed value. He undermined culture, underdeveloped his WRs (watch Brinson ball out at SMU), was horrifically bad at play-calling, and did nothing from a recruiting perspective. He was a tsunami.

That said, if Enos can get a OC job at MD then AR, and Dorito was able to land at Houston, Gattis can and will find a sucker out there.
