If Moten returns and Miami lands Wilson and Keona Davis the 2026 defensive line is going to be elite again and even deeper (pause). Justin Scott, Lightfoot, and Blount all took massive jumps from year 1 to year 2 and I fully expect them to take another step in their development. Those three 5 stars, finally in their JR year, playing in this Hetherman defense for the second season, are going to dominate.

DE/DT Rotation
  1. JR Armondo Blount 6-4 280
  2. JR Keona Davis 6-5 280
  3. RSO Cole McConathy 6-5 280
  4. SO Herbert Scroggins 6-3 260
  5. RFR Hayden Lowe 6-5 270

DE Rotation
  1. SR Damon Wilson 6-4 250
  2. JR Marquise Lightfoot 6-5 240
  3. RSO Booker Pickett 6-3 240
  4. FR Asharri Charles 6-2 240

DT Rotation
  1. RSR Ahmad Moten 6-3 305
  2. JR Justin Scott 6-4 310
  3. SO Jarquez Carter 6-1 300
  4. RFR Mykah Newton 6-3 290
  5. FR Keshawn Stancil 6-3 290

*projecting a 10 pound weight gain for current underclassmen* for all of you “that’s not how weight gain works” guys, I totally understand, this is just a projection. I am not saying that this is fact and will happen for sure.

Young guys who I don’t expect to play much, but this show just how deep this team could be along the D line (pause).

DE/DT Rotation
  1. FR Tyson Bacon 6-3 270
  2. FR Isaac Chukwurah 6-3 270
  3. FR Logan Nagle 6-5 290

DE Rotation
  1. FR DeAnthony Lafayette 6-1 240

DT Rotation
  1. FR Frederic Sainteus 6-4 285

I hope the building isn't like a funeral parlor today.

I'm not concerned at all.

This team showed a hunger after those two losses. They know, without a doubt, they lost that game and it wasn't won. They respect the team they played, but I don't think any of them left the field thinking, they're better than us.

That'll light a fire under your *** more than a win would've. While they'll appreciate the time off, my bet is they'll be working harder in off season drills and in the weight room than had they won.

A recruit, portal or not, they'll see that fire. They'll hear about that fire. It'll be contagious, we were that close and the resounding cry will be to come be a part of it, join us.
