We’re much more cognizant on how these new signees impact $$$s of our current roster. So guys like Seaton and Wilson are tough ones to avoid salary issues with our other players

Playoff $ goes to the University, which can't/shouldn't be used for NIL as that is handled by collectives and private businesses separate from the University...officially anyway. Your 2nd point is true though but if two new guys come in and are making exponentially more than the other players at their position it could cause issues. Just my 2 cents though.

Universities are paying players directly now. I would imagine they can use this money however they please

You really don't think any of that money is gna be used for NIL lol. I know its not supposed to be but there's a lot of stuff you aren't supposed to do that gets done

Yeah its not supposed to go towards NIL but id be shocked if some of it wasnt used for that. Theres a lot of stuff that goes on in CFB that shouldn't be happening...guess we'll never know

The money can be fungible....donor calls up and asks to donate to athletic programs, AD says we have some surplus this year and we would appreciate you donating it to the NIL collective.....

You probably know this, but donating to the university allows for a charitable deduction, while donating to the collective does not.
