Damon Wilson 2.0

Three programs are emerging as schools to watch following the LSU visit: Alabama, Miami and Texas Tech. The Crimson Tide is pushing hard to enter the mix to land the transfer portal’s top pass rusher, sources have told On3. Alabama lost several pieces of its front seven in the portal, and Wilson would be an immediate impact player.

Wilson visited Tuscaloosa repeatedly throughout his high school recruitment, so a visit to Alabama is not necessary in making his decision. Texas Tech is another top school to know to land Wilson, and the Red Raiders could potentially land a visit following the dead period, sources tell On3.

The former Georgia transfer is expected to visit Miami in the near future. The opportunity to be coached by Jason Taylor is a key point of the Hurricanes’ recruiting pitch to Wilson, who is a former five-star recruit. Miami will be in the market at EDGE with Rueben Bain Jr.expected to enter the NFL draft following the season.

Damon Wilson was a top-10 player in the On3 Industry Transfer Rankings a year ago, picking Missouri over Ohio State. He earned second-team All-SEC honors in 2025 with the Tigers, posting 40 pressures and nine sacks. The 6-foot-4, 250-pound pass rusher passed on the NFL draft to return to school and enter the transfer portal.
