Damien Martinez - I Apologize

All I know - having 5 quality backs, with 2 being real change of pacers, in Lyles and Johnson, is a great problem to have.

I'd like to see some more creativity incorporated with Johnson and Lyles (toss plays) and some McCaffrey like looks in the passing game, but lots of season left.

Yesterday's game, to me, felt like the BEST mix of pass/run we have had all season. Glad to see it.

We'll need it as the weather begins to turn on some of these upcoming road games....
Louisville adjusting for the pass helped. We had a lot of even numbers in the blocking game and that's when the holes showed up. Regardless of was in there on the left side. (for my guy @Reyrey)

I was surprised to see Ajay Allen over Lyle, but I don't hate it. It was a tight game and Mario probably wanted to have the more experienced guy in there.

LOL we have the #1 offense and now Martinez/Brown are starting to heat up.

our Top 2 RBs are both 6’+ & 225 & 235 that wears out opponents DL/LBs

We then have 3 TEs all capable of stretching the field in Arroyo, Williams & Lofton

We then have 4 WRs In Restrepo, George, Horton and now Brown is coming along…

All with 2 of the best OTs in CFB & the best QB this university has had…..

This is the part of the season where Miami’s big backs will thrive. At this stage, teams are banged up and depth is depleted. Remember only the elite have the type of quality depth to sustain injuries in the from 7 and still field a high quality defense. I fully expect 175 - 200 team rushing yards in every games for the remainder of the regular season.
The most underlooked aspect of past miami teams

It has been a LONG time since i can remember feeling this confident in short yardage situations. Not to say thats all he is good for. Oh no. My point is that he is a mang. Need 1 yard? As long as it is not slow developing it is **** bear impossible to deny him. You need that.

What i saw vs Lville should be our rotation. All Martinez/fletcher for quarters 1-3 just pounding the defense. Then end of 3rd bring in allen for change of style/speed. Then 4th go with hot hand(s). Get those 3 into a groove. We saw lyle. Hes gonna be good but maybe RS now. Cj for specific plays.

All AJ does is perform when his number is called. I'm never upset to see 28 in the game.

I saw that Coach Merrit said Allen is ready to get touches and practiced hard and was good all week. Dawson all but confirmed, position coaches set player rotations and substitutions and that was coach Merritt decision Saturday. I think Mario also confirmed gave credit to Merrit for that decision and call out

Mike Ryan said on the pod after the UF win that the first thought in his mind as the final second ticked off the clock was how much success was coming to the website as a result. The way he talks to Pete is ridiculous. I'd never heard of this guy and he comes on the first show acting like he's some kind of VIP cause he makes music for the LGBTQ community.
Agree, that guy talks like an idiot on the podcast.

Still the wrong scheme for his abilities since Dawson/mario love running right between the guards every play but that was a huge run.
Exactly....I think our OL owned their light Dline so much that he could get churning into the second level where he was always hard to bring down.

It is unfortunate that we are running out of this set, but like with any set, I hope the blocking is becoming second nature and Martinez is getting used to it.

When guys were selling stock early I was trying to explain that Martinez and Brown got in late and Brown missed time early in camp.. let them get settled because they had prior production.. this is exactly what I expected prior to season, so beautiful to see come to fruition

I like how we've rotated our RBs this year. It really helps our run game as fresh guys face defenses that are gassed in the 4th Quarter.

He's played like a man possessed the last two games.

Love the way we've rotated our RBs...
