I'm burned out/in denial about the actual game but I wanted to see what you guys that were there would rate Dallas as a neutral site city/gameday experience.

I personally give it 8 out of 10 Tad Footeball Martinis.

Excellent food/nightlife options, friendly enough locals that aren't SEC apologists, relatively cost friendly, a crazy stadium experience and close enough that Canes Nation can show up in full force- DO NOT let anyone tell you that LSU had a homefield advantage.

The only major drawback is everything in the entire metroplex is so spread out (hard to hang with your friends that are staying in Arlington and Fort Worth if your crew is in Dallas) and there ain't no beach in North Texas.

Dallas is just about the only place in Texas (also, Austin) that is tolerable. I agree with the megalopolis being so spread out.

I did see a bunch of Canes at Dealey Plaza on Saturday. To me, this is a must-see spot in Dallas. I walked around with my brother and my niece, debating all of the details of the assassination. The only thing that ****ed me off was the jag-off tourists who stepped out into the street to take smiling pictures on the spot where JFK was hit in the head. No respect, no dignity.

If we do this again, I'd much prefer to play USC or Stanford in Dallas. LSU may not have had an overwhelming home-field advantage, but they had the numbers on us. Let's play a west-coast private school and even things up.

Had some nice barbecue, had a couple nice brunches, went to a few solid bars. City is clean and the people were very friendly. The no alcohol before noon on a Sunday is bull$hit but it's Texas law.

AT&T Stadium is sick, definitely one of the cooler stadiums I've visited across all sports.

Other than the game and my postgame Uber driver nearly getting into like 3 accidents, I really enjoyed my time there.

You can get alcohol, you just have to have food in front of you. Do it every Sunday for NFL games at Twin Peaks. Chips and Queso with a man sized beer.

Oh yeah, at a restaurant sure. I meant like from a store. My buddy and I got up early on Sunday to make the rounds only to come back empty handed, had to make a B-line to the nearest brunch spot to start downing mimosas.

Oh ok. I misunderstood. Yea liquor stores are madhouses Saturday afternoon/evenings in preparation for Sunday.

I enjoyed the experience. Easy 12 hour drive from ATL, I-20 all the way. Saturday night hit downtown Dallas, I forgot the name of the area. It was hella bars all right there together, a lot of diversity. I remember Sidebar was the name of one of the bars. Sunday I was mad I missed the Pecan Lodge for some Q, ended up at Lockhart Smokehouse. The meat was really good (pause), but the sides wasn't all that. It was still a cool experience because they we're packed and it was a bunch of Canes there. The parking provided by @gocanes737 made things easy once we go to the stadium. The stadium is massive and my seats were amazing. We were quite outnumbered as a fanbase but we still had a solid showing of orange and green. I agree with @TheOriginalCane I would love see us play a Pac 12 or Big 10 team in Dallas. Somebody with equal travel for both fanbases.

Side note I passed LSU leaving Dallas on 20 East and almost went full Kamikaze into a bus lol.

Liked it. Went to on spot called bottled blonde that was great. Only complaint is the **** highways with the gps...

I thought I was the only one with GPS problems on the highways lol. Weird last minute exits and GPS took me on an express lane

When the highlight of a trip is Buc-ees , a low rent version of South of the Border - yes that’s possible , then I would have to say : 2 tnumbs down .

Got me too. I got a few toll charges on the rental. lol Pappas bros was as advertised, Texas Live was great and it isn't even done! Still under construction. Stadium was best I've seen. But I'm good with Dallas, I'll go again if my Canes are there, but only if Malik not the QB. I left game just before halftime. FSU kinda saved my weekend, but not really. I'm sending Richt a bill for my game tickets, just to show my disappointment, but the rest of the trip was ok.
