DAILY DEBATE: Which matchup are you watching in the USF game?

D$ any word on Bain yet? I assume we are holding out again but is he planning on being back soon? Or is this just a lingering thing that’s going to drag all year
 
Defense vs the run game, and staying disciplined enough to contain both the RB and QB runs. That had been a major issue in past years, and this will be our biggest test thus far this season. USF has the #8 rushing offense in the nation despite having played Bama as one of their 3 games.
 
Kiko and Wes vs their QB and RBs. I already know Jaden Harris is going to have a big game, but I want to see consistency and discipline from our LBs

Byrum Brown is the kind of quarterback that in the Randy Shannon or Al Golden era would've given Miami fits; the Canes making him look like a superstar.

Curious to see how Guidry and this defense get to this guy. Rushed for 254 yards and two touchdowns in three games; 448 yards passing and two touchdowns as well.

If Miami can get to the kid and smack him around a bit, it'll be a long night for the Bulls. Might get a few little runs, but need to turn him over as well.
 
Our DL will have a legit run game to defend so their strength will be subsided some ( pass rushing ) to defend the run. I want to see how the secondary holds up without having their crutch. There’ll be 1 v 1 ‘s and opportunities for USF in the pass game

Start fast and get them behind early and they have to get into uncomfortable passing situations…

Guidry vs Golesh

Most importantly last year we had some issues with tempo, how do we adjust to that

I expect guidry to run blitz them some on early downs, get them to 3rd and mediums then rush 3 with alston as the aggressive spy while we drop 7 and to limit big plays

I wanna see how many guidry allocates to the box knowing how much they spread out. So the matchup will be our front 5 or 6 vs their front 5 and two run threats in the backfield. Ol vs Dl, LBs vs Dual threat qb

Will our DBs continue the great communication and limit the coverage busts, open field tackling to limit yards after the catch. Wrs vs DBs
 
Our linebackers wrapping up because this qb was breaking arm tackles against bama. Not tryna sound like the “low T” crowd in here but it can be a mentally touch challenge when a running qb scrambles for a first when you did everything right

They need to make him pay every time he runs.

By the 4th quarter he was so tired and beat up against Bama he couldn’t accomplish much.

Miami has to punish him any chance they get to hit him.

I'm also interested to see how our run game performs against their defense. Needs to be effective to keep them honest on passing downs.
 
USF vs -17.5: In years past, this game would scare me. However, we have the better athletes & players that make me feel more confident in being able to stop Brown. Our team also has better leaders than previous teams so I don't fear our team not being focused.

USF Barstool vs @TrumpyCane: USF Barstool has been talking a lot of ****. Trolling our team. Trolling the fans. Trolling the stadium. Bragging about having their upper deck become open. After our W, I'm excited to see what Trumpy has in store.
