Off-Topic Dadeland Shorty"s to be demolished...

Brother, I’m sitting trying to remember LUMS just couldn’t do it 🙏🙏🙏🙏
There were so many awesome middle class family restaurants and diners during our time , I feel sad for this generation to never experience Mayberry type establishments whole family going out to Black Angus Friday evening.
Now it’s so expensive plus very little if and family restaurants that for young families just sad for this generation to miss family outing.

I went to Legends in Ft Lauderdale with wife just couple wraps fries coleslaw I think it was $70 .

Look around you what’s out there that’s even close to what we experienced 🥵

60-70’s were the best , I’d go back and live it again and STAY breaking the Time Machine .

Didn't Lum's (another old chain of restauarants that originated in South Florida) also have the frosted mugs for their draft beer?

There was one of those on South Beach, adjacent to t=he old dog track at the southern end of Miami Beach. That chain, like Burger King, went "national."
Yes. I knew the youngest son of the owner growing up.

Speaking of Denny's, anyone recall Sambo's. A theme restraurant based on the racist "Little Black Sambo." Denny's bought them out in the late 70s I think. They had a presence in So Fla.
