I agree, friend.

This was a no win situation.

Hopefully the young man lands on his feet.

If football doesn’t work out, perhaps he can do a bit of modeling. He’s quite attractive.
 
Any guess's on where he ends up? Auburn wants him, but I doubt he goes knowing Stidham is a junior right now.
 
I actually think it was Lawrence and his family who forced Swinney's hand. They had everything
to gain and nothing to lose. He would have been the greatest Free Agent in CFB History.
I look for more FR. Especially top QB's to say I start as a FR. or I bounce. 4 game Transfer rule
is a game changer.

Only thing I will say is that if he knew he wanted to go with TLawrence as the long term option like Saban and Tua..he should have told Bryant and given him a chance to transfer before the season or in the Spring/Summer. I know what most of you will say, "That's not good business as a coach. You don't want him to transfer so you have to hide your hand."...Well..he's transferring anyway so you lost him regardless. At least Dabo could have gotten the 3rd string guy ready to be a backup in case TL gets injured.

So if TLawrence slips on a banana peel and breaks his leg, you can kiss Clemson's a$$ goodbye this season. He should have kept the 2 QB thing going as long as he could and hoped that Bryant just left as a grad transfer after the season. At least you used him as insurance for this year. Now hes got nothing.

If Bryant finished the year on Clemson's active roster, his eligibility would be up. You get four years of eligibility and he's used them all. The only reason he can transfer and play next year is because he's using 2018 as a redshirt season.

They have no other QBs.
Lawrence isn’t running anywhere. He’ll be wearing bubble wrap Sunday through Friday

Dabo is a riverboat gambler..............nice to win.........but he could lose his ***, if injuries rear their head......on TLawrence..............
No worries to us if we play them.....need to beat his arrogant smirk.....next time we meet....

Was thinking about this the other day. When they won the NC a couple years ago they did because of Watson's mobility. Lawrence has a great arm, but I don't see him having the running ability that Watson, or even Bryant has. This makes it much easier for defenders.

Deshaun threw for 420 against Bama in the NC and only ran for 43. Clemson won the NC because Watson spent the entire season burying what he thought was a disrespectful label of dual-threat QB. He wanted to prove to the world that he was just as good a passer as anyone. And he did just that.
 
Mistake on Dabos part. I'd ride w Bryant one more year. I dont see a transcendent talent in Lawrrence like I do w Tua for example. He's a bad boy no doubt, but I'm not sure he's better than Bryant right now.

True but Bama had to respect the threat of the run, even during the season leading up to the championship Watson made plays with his legs on key plays that helped them. I know in the Louisville game he had a couple of key runs in crucial moments that helped the team out.
