26th in Athens

A sweep is likely needed but **** is it going to be close to hosting if we keep winning series and taking care of business in midweek

Going from 27th to 16th? Can probably only lose 1-2 more games. But I’m totally guessing and of course what other teams do matters.
I’m not disagreeing with you. I wonder how they weigh overall standings and record versus who we’ve actually played because that’s what it’s gonna come down to cause I think our standings and record may even be top four when we get a double bye into the quarterfinals.

It’s always a moving target, and doesn’t include any hypothetical ACCT games, but the RPI Needs Report says 4 wins to finish in the Top 45, 6 wins for the Top 32, and no way to finish in the Top 16.

That’s disappointing

Potentially win 9 acc series in a row with 1 midweek loss during that time and not have chance to host is sad state of affairs for acc baseball

We’ve certainly drawn a weaker ACC schedule, but it’s largely down to our non-conference. FAU is actually notably below .500 when you make the RPI adjustment for home/road games. Combining that with FIU and the two Patriot League schools, 13 of our 24 non-conference games are against sub .500 opponents (50% of the RPI formula).

I was watching CJ Kafus highlights the other day that UM posted on Instagram and we were 25–15 and 12–9 in the ACC and ranked 15th in the country.

Obviously, we have a better record this year overall and aren’t even ranked

You can make a pretty fair case that it’s better to be a three seed than to be one of the bottom four two seeds and locked into one of the top four sites.
