Three-star Davie (Fla.) McArthur defensive back Sherrod Gourdine is set to make a commitment later today. Gourdine is on campus, and it would obviously be a shocker if he didn’t side with the Hurricanes. I have a Rivals Prediction in and feel very confident about the Hurricanes going into his announcement.

Josh Johnson

While Johnson doesn’t have a planned commitment like Gourdine, he has said he could decide at any time.

We're about to enter the heart of recruiting season for the next three months. Here is the latest from the Hecht:

- While Texas A&M should be considered the favorite, Miami remains in contact with OT Mark Matthews (St. Thomas Aquinas). The Canes are also in contact with OT Oluwasemilore Olubobola (Jersey City, NJ). Both of those situations could move fast.

- In terms of the big name guys, communication is particularly strong with CB Gabe Osborne (Oklahoma City, OK) and DT David Folorunsho (Chicago, IL).
