C.Thomas, K.Norton, G.Willis, A.Muhammad!!! I honestly think with the help of Coach Kool we could have one of the better dlines in the country, and we all know it all starts up front Im loving this! Go Canes!!!!

2 weeks from getting blasted all season long and now we have one of the better lines in the country.
 
I hope Jenkins gets his **** together. We actually seem to have quality depth on the D-line for the first time in years.
 
That starting line looks sick. Hopefully they can reach their full potential. Add Jenkins and Jackson among others for depth and watch out.

On PAPER, it's arguably the best line in the nation.


Two 5 star and two 4 star players. 3 of whom were the best defensive players in their state in high school.
 
All I can say is thank god we don't have to watch this line play under Dorito. Nothing would be more frustrating.

I think we have very good edge rushers. We don't have the interior guys that other programs have. Not much depth. Our DEs will be a problem. I wish McCord had one more year. Guy would have been an 8-10 sack guy in this system!
 
Our first two units look good to me.

DE-Chad Thomas, Trent Harris
DT-Gerald Willis, Anthony Moten
DT-Courtel Jenkins, Kendrick Norton
DE-AQM, D Jax

I'd like to see more quality depth in case of injury though.

No doubt Willis and coach Kool can make a difference but here is a dose of reality on how our DL line did this year .

--None made 1st-2nd or 3rd string ACC
--26 sacks ranked #64 in Nation
--5.26 yds/carry # 103 in nation
--66 tackles for loss # 96 in Nation

Somebody said it earlier in the thread: coaching matters.

Half that line were 4 star or better rated recruits coming out of high school. With a couple of fringe 4 star guys mixed in as well. Let's see what they're capable of doing when they're not trying to play pattycake with OL.
 
McIntosh is being slept on by everyone. He's a big kid who can get skinny to get thru lanes. I like him to get 1st team reps by the end of next year

Lol exactly. Hilarious how delusional people are. Coach Kool is a good one and will have these guys playing better...but to say this will be one of the best in the country after this year's disaster is pushing it
