I've only had 2 jobs. 22 years in the Marines and now 10 years Federal. And yes, I had to wait 180 days before I was able to start my 2nd job.

Unless it’s changed, you can’t draw two Federal pensions from the same time period. He would start at day one towards his Federal pension, rather than being able to use his military service towards his Federal pension requirements.
