Do you like the CWS format where each side of the bracket is essentially played like a 4 team regional? It guarantees 1 team from each side in the finals. Or would you prefer it be like the women’s where the cross bracket the losers?

How does it differ? At some point, a winner is playing a loser in double elimination, no?

Men’s only play their side of the bracket in basically a double elimination format identical to how a regional is. Women’s has loser go to other side of bracket. Thus, 2 teams that start on the same side of bracket could make the finals with each other.

It’s fine how it is, the women’s only flips teams that lose the 1-0 matchup, guess it’s designed so there’s no chance of a rematch with a team you just beat the game prior, but that could also work against you.

I'm confused - you mean they cross over after G2 for losers, because each bracket has two losers after all the G1's? Otherwise, what's the point of having two brackets at all?
