Yea another thread. Just want to point out that firing Baker, Banda, Rumph or whoever Manny wants to scapegoat this year won’t change a **** thing until he gives up any handling of the defense.

this is his 5 year in the making defense, his recruits, his scheme that got butt****ed yesterday. Nothing changes by replacing position coaches or DC if he doesn’t take his hands off the wheel.

he needs to be a CEO and hire a legit DC and let that DC hire their own staff. ***** the bartender and all of them. They should all be gone and don’t deserve D1 P5 jobs.

If we didn’t fire Manny after last years **** show, what gives anyone hope he will be this year? Won’t happen. I wanted him gone after the La Tech embarrassment. Now we are stuck with him at least for another year after going 8-2. Best case scenario is he cleans house on the defensive side and see what happens from there.

Pretty much this. Although it seems as though it might be more difficult for Manny to fire “his” guys. Its getting to the point where he has to do it to save his own ****. We’ve seen this movie before.

its the Coker game plan. Fire the assistants to save your job knowing you are the problem.

manny has to hire a bonafide stud DC to save his ***

The program won’t go anywhere until heads roll at the administrative level. Strawley and James need to go. Bring in Highsmith and let him decide how the program should proceed.

is it we don’t have talent or Baker, Patke, Banda and Rumph can’t develop? Or a combo of each?

I think it’s a little of both. We have kids on this roster that were recruited by the top schools but haven’t gotten any better since being here.

we have a bar tender teaching our safeties.

I think it’s time to move on from Stroud also. Need new blood on defense

blake James is awful. Look at where the baseball, basketball and football programs are.

Completely agree my only thing I’ll say is. Wait until after signing day then fire them all so we still get our recruits lol

we need portal CB for sure. Maybe a LB but I’d hire a new DC and see what he thinks about our young guys.

for sure. That’s how it works. I’m not even sure he should let them coach the bowl game. Once these kids are signed you make the move on firing Baker. Manny can call plays at the bowl.

Manny might wait till after the bowl so he can try and get a quality win and then make the moves though. All about optics for him

We do need more talent yes, but that’s not why last night turned out the way it did.

They ran off tackle vs a 5 star d end all night, while he flew upfield and took himself out of every play. This isn’t talent it’s a broken scheme. 800 yards is twice as many as most ****** untalented ACC teams gave up vs UNC.

I don’t understand why he brought in Baker our defense doesnt even look like the defnse manny was calling when he was the DC. We were more “passive aggressive” than anything really. And super undisplinced

Never called for bandas head but after watching that safety play yesterday he can walk too. They couldn’t fill the alley correctly at all

Banda can be replaced by a true teacher and recruiter. Nothing any of the coaches have done in defense is good enough to no get ****canned.

I’m sure there is going to be changes but let’s see how deep he cuts. These are his bffs he has been bringing along the way his whole career
 


Don't know which one of you guys posted this but I agree. Firing Manny will hurt us more right now than help. Fire Rumph and Baker after the bowl game. Let Manny hire new coaches then re-assess the state of the program after next year.
