Thoughts: Glad he's gaining some experience. Wish him well with his career. Maybe he'll have what it takes to be a HC at the U down the line.

He lost to FAU.

Not his fault at all, though I'm not 100% sold on him as a coach, he's still learning. Tulane was up 17-7 on FAU and then their QBs threw 4 INTs on 4 straight passes. Not 4 just 4 straight possessions, 4 straight passes. That's why they lost. Their starting QB suffered a separated shoulder 6 weeks ago, and he came back last week, but is not close to 100% and can't throw the ball more than 30 yards. Yesterday they dominated UTSA, but missed 2 FGs, had back to back false start penalties on 3rd and 1 and then 3rd and 6 from the UTSA 31 and then 36 pushing them out of FG range, and fumbled at the UTSA 1 yard line. UTSA tied it on a 68 yard run on a blown assignment, and then won on a blown coverage that led to a 65 yard pass to set up the winning FG. They should have won like 20-something to 0 or 7 but lost 10-7. Anyway, they're bowl eligible at 6-4, should be 9-1, play 1-8 UTEP next week before finishing with Rice. They'll likely finish 7-5. That'll be their first winning season 2002. It'll be their first bowl since 2002, and only their second bowl since 1998, and only their third bowl since 1987.

CJ...best WR coach in the country....really intense guy. Would pistol whip an infant to have this guy on staff...Tell you what if this guy was on staff, Dorsett might've dropped the first one against ND, but he sure as **** doesn't drop the 2nd one

he aint leavin the N.O. either.

Would love to reel him in as an oc down the line...

real cool guy i remember when i camped at um he was the most coolest coach and spoke with my dad for like 30 mins to an hour. Meanwhile Kellen Winslow sr was also there talking and me and KW2 were the two kids standidng to the side lookin at each other awkwardly...."knew that kid was wired differently then"lol..cool stroy bro.

For the record, a lot of Tulane fans, while they love him as a person and the face of the program, and love his recruiting, are starting to question whether or not he's a good gameday coach (sound familiar?).

Sure do... But I'll take him back as a wide out coach/ OC in training

Well he is winning at Tulane, something that hasn't been done in 10 years, and not consistently in 60, so he's not getting fired, not anytime soon.

Okay? Just saying I don't think we're in dire need of his services just saying if things do burn down love to bring him it at that capacity

I don't think we are either, just pointing out that he won't be available in an assistant's capacity for at least 4-5 more years.
