Can you add all the other teams for comparison.

I would say a majority of the starting quarterbacks in college are at least in their third year of college football. If you’re starting a freshman, it’s because your starter got hurt or your team sucks or both.

I think having an experienced bell cow running back that is experienced is also beneficial for a young running back in pass blocking as well

We have the best QB

I think having a 1k+ running back now is more of a reflection of a lack of depth rather than necessarily having a bellcow.
Martinez could easily have 1200+ yards and 12+ TDs if we didn't have other capable backs on the roster.

None of those other running backs are averaging more YPC than Martinez or Fletcher or Lyle. They're just getting more carries.

Easy. The little cousin is getting better every week. The game is slowing down for him. Sun Devils to the moon!!!

Miami has a luxury to keep guys fresh and 2 RBs that know how to pass block

The premise of this post was about Young QBs having a strong running game to lean on and to protect them. The young QBs have a strong running game which has led to success for those teams

I understand that.

I'm just not sure that what you're posting (the leading rusher on each team) necessarily differentiates between which teams have a strong running game and which ones don't.

A better stat to prove your point would be to show the teams YPC or something along those lines.

For example, Arizona State is only at 4.4YPC. Tennessee is at 5.0YPC. We're at 5.5YPC

our YPC is because we have the best QB in the nation…it makes it a **** of a lot easier to run the ball when they’re trying to stop the pass and playing 2 high safeties

The Tenn RB has a 5.7 YPC with a RS freshman QB

He’s pretty special

As for the Arizona State RB, he’s accounted for 1700 yards of total offense with 16 TDs
