What I like so far is the offensive hires seem to be excellent.
Zo getting hired (if it happens) means Blake will be gone in the next 12 months and Blake was overruled (I cannot fathom bringing someone with his resume on and him not moving up within the organization)....just my opinion.
So I’m cautiously optimistic.
Manny seems to be holding true to his philosophy of “self scouting” and making necessary adjustments (on the offensive side of the ball...albeit he had no choice on the matter...it was either change or get canned next year).
If he applies that same philosophy on the defensive and special teams side...then I’ll start getting excited.
I’d rather keep Stubbs and get rid of Rumph and Patke.
To be honest, with as leak proof as he has run this ship so far...it would not surprise me if he makes one or two more changes before all is said and done.

He'll hold on to "his boys" as long as possible, but also do what's necessary to keep his job.

No one is overjoyed, but the offensive hires are certainly reason for cautious optimism. Manny as a first year HC made mistakes and miscalculations. He's showing a willingness to change that. He's got one season to prove he's figured it out.

I think the last time we had 2 coaching Changes was Golden’s last off season... IIRC one or maybe both were billed not as a firing but the coach found another gig.

We’ve had plenty of other reasons to have hope tho... HC changes. Cloud dissipating, Redshirts now competing for starting jobs, assumed growth of coaches whose game plans had obvious and correctable issues, experienced returning starters, the latest freshman who was def winning the heisman,blah, blah, blah.

There was zero hope before golden was fired, then Sky was the limit when richt was hired, then zero hope before richt retired, then sky’s the limit when manny was named, then zero hope after the bowl game, and now sky’s the limit w this new OC and possibly Zo....

I’m with you.. I’m excited again!! I can’t wait to see this new O. Unfortunately I’m not smart enough to learn from past mistakes. Neither of us are, I guess Lolol
 
Highsmith ain't coming here. Please let that **** go and snap out of it. That man ain't stupid. Plus he probably has enough testicular fortitude to avoid a program loaded with soft *** Vaginas. At least the NFL is a business that guarantees all folks involved aren't pvssies. Otherwise you never get there. Only way he comes here is with guaranteed power to make real positive changes

Until Blake is gone or at least has all of his football power handed over to Highsmith, the rest is all positive but basically meaningless. I’m not settling for a trajectory that sees us not losing to FIU and La Tech, I’ll feel hopeful again when we can see a trajectory that puts us on course to win the Coastal routinely and get back to being a perennial top 10 team that can compete with the big boys.

Ya gotta admit though, the Rhett and Highsmith hires give you hope.
 
I am willing to give Manny a pass on his first year failures being a first time head coach. Enos sold him a vision and Manny bought it hook line and sinker. New OC and OL hires will make or break his future. Manny needs to have the fire that he showed as a DC if the “U” wants to make a comeback.
