Culture

Get me a coach that ain’t satisfied with just surviving games and winning the state! We need a culture changer and someone that isn’t satisfied with just winning . We want to dominate

I don't believe Mario is satisfied with just winning. He was visibly upset Miami didn't finish off the FSU game with more points after building 28-3 4th quarter lead.

He would be happier had Miami won yesterday 26-20 in OT but not satisfied with winning. Like us.

His idea of dominating is the problem.

He wants to trade body blows and thinks the opponent will eventually falter and Miami will break some runs into explosive plays and put the other team away later in the game. Much like Michigan when Harbaugh finally won his NC a few seasons ago.

Problems this season are a penalty-prone average OL, tight ends who can't block, and backs without vision and top-end speed. Others have posted numerous time where Fletcher or Brown missed taking the run where they should have and missed a big play.

If Cuse had Angeli I would be concerned, but Cuse right now is the EC version of Stanford.

Why would that be such a hard thing to have done.Did they think that anyone thought they were going to pay him whatever how many millions they were going to pay for him to come sit?

This sounds kind of fishy to me as the reason he chose to go elsewhere…
Obviously cause you can’t risk losing Emory to the portal…..

Surely there will be a quarterback who decides his NFL future depends on coming to Miami. What worked for Cam Ward can work for anyone.

Cincinnati’s Brendan Sorsby. IMO he’s the guy you throw several million dollars at to convince he could follow in Wards footsteps to go from 2nd round to top draft pick. Let the tampering begin.

@Dark Cane Blame Beck all ya want. Just let ME know where you're throwing this ball bredren?

The play was weak but after rewinding the replay multiple times imo the main issue I see is the decision making of your 6 yr QB. It’s 3rd and 6… take a sack, throw the ball away, try to run out the pocket to extend the play a little longer. But if he threw it to Malachi with more zip or waited a half second longer to throw it over the top he could’ve beat the DB. Those are tight windows that Ward hit effortlessly. Becks arm is terrible.

**** culture is not stepping on throats and squeezing out every opportunity every second of the game.
**** culture is not kneeling it out in a victory formation when the game is in hand.
**** culture is going into a half with all of your time outs.
**** culture is a game tied, getting the ball on your own 25 with 30 seconds left on the clock and not dialing up 3 plays to go 40 yards down field to put the ball on the toe of #38 to try and win it.

It is year fkin' four. Four seasons' worth of body of work and until proven otherwise, coaching-wise, Mario Cristobal is nothing but a *****. What is the "Miami Way"? Somethings that come to mind:

-- Hustle and Ambition: South Florida residence have a prevailing sense of ambition and a fast-paced work culture, where people are driven to succeed and display their success.
-- Confidence/Directness: people in Miami can be very direct, which is sometimes perceived as rudeness by those from other U.S. cities.
-- Resourcefulness and Entrepreneurial Spirit: fostering a highly entrepreneurial and adaptable city. People are used to navigating unique systems and finding "their own way" to get things done.

None of this sounds like Mario today. Maybe he spent too long in that rainy foggy weather up in Eugene and it messed with him. He needs to instill some Miami culture back into his program.

Haven't been this furious since Gtech kneeling debacle and it ain't going away any time soon no matter how we finish this season. This is a season-over-season regression--no bones about it. Don't remind me in the offseason about our record. Cristo**** **** the bed yet again and we are wasting some serious talent waiting on him and staff to figure his **** out.

This team mentally goes into games as the underdog. We purposely try to shorten the games. We try to keep the scores low. Just seems like all this team wants to do is keep the game close so they can pull off the upset. The problem is they are the favorite. Act like it. You are allowed to kick someone's ***. Attack attack attack. If u give up one big play on defense. Who cares. You have 60 minutes. Make one bad play on offense again shake it off. But since they play this style of the underdog every mistake feels like a game ender. You think the 01 team thought the game was over because of an interception or a bad ref call? Of course not. You go win the next play. You put the ball in the end zone. It's not a hard game to figure out. Georgia makes so many mistakes every game this year but they don't quit and they attack. They do what it takes to win. Get enough possessions and score points. It's simple

There has never been a coach quite like him. The vast, vast majority of coaches are fired because they can’t “get over the hump.” They consistently beat the easy teams on their schedule but lose the games to the top opponents.

Cristobal teams regularly upset their highly ranked opponents but consistently lose to bad teams, especially when his teams are double digit favorites.

I can’t think of another coach at any program who has had this reputation or track record.
Jimbo Fischer did a bit of this

Trumpycane client who is a Cal booster texted Trumpycane he’s going to Indiana to play with his brother

Check the date

I feel better at least knowing that he wasn’t an option.

i live in the area. Thank God Cal & Stanford… and not in the area but Northwestern for that matter don’t really care about football.
