Seems to me that Beck at least is standing up to Cristobal, who says “us” but focuses on things the players are doing as opposed to looking at himself and Mirabel in the mirror.

As I mentioned in another post, just the slightest adjustments would have kept us undefeated so far this year. Ditch the condensed sets and run A gap all you want out of spread formations.

Allow your OC to script 12 plays and then allow him to formulate his in-game strategy and run it to score 7 each time. OC also needs to be able to show payoff plays if going to the same well multiple times. The fake end around to Mali needs to be the tweak, not the base.

Do not neuter local media — let them challenge you and your staff. Allow those tough questions to drive deeper self reflection.

Do these four things throughout the year, and we are undefeated right now, no questions about it.

But we muddy up the waters on our own. Don’t match the plays/schemes to your physical advantages.
I have no issue with what Beck said. He was gutted at the end of that game. I felt at times they hung him out to dry. They knew SMU had a much better run defense than passing defense and yet they handcuffed the QB. He played well, other than that last play and I question whether that was all on him or if Toney wasn't where he was supposed to be... Toney refused to talk about it at the end.

It's incredible that so many people can watch the end of the FSU game and say, "this is a problem if it doesn't get fixed". And then Louisville. And then the first half against Stanford.

If you aren't going into SMU razor sharp then you have a culture problem. If you go into SMU and play your worst game of the season you have a structural problem. It was obvious to everyone that Miami's biggest problem was themselves. I was begging Cristobal to bench people for making mistakes on the field. He needed to start setting examples. The team needed a drastic wake up call. And he can't do it.

@Dark Cane, your response?

Yes bench Beck sorry ahh right now… it doesn’t matter how many times the same play is called. That INT in OT was100% on the QB.. the arm is terrible and the decision making is worse.

Coaches don’t expect a 6 yr QB to need hand holding… command the offense like a leader!! But he’s not a leader and the coaches are seeing that.

Notwithstanding that Beck’s a pedigreed game manager, much of this is Dawson vs Mario/Mirabal?

He’s a game manager coming off an injury and a ****** season. I think we tried getting Mateer but when that wasn’t happening, the pivot was to this guy instead of Mendoza. I do believe we could have gotten Mendoza if he were the target ahead of Beck. This is who they chose. I don’t know if it was what Dawson wanted or not. That’s my question - was Mario making the choice or letting Dawson???
From what I recall it being said after the fact, that Mendoza’s camp had terms…

They wanted it to be publicly stated that he was the starter and Mario & Co. balked at that…

He signed with Indiana shortly afterwards…

Again, if my memory serves me correctly…

We’re losing to Pitt in my opinion. If we lost to 1 or both of Cuse and VT, i wouldn’t be shocked.
We could possibly lose the rest of our games. This team has no faith in mario or dawson. Beck is checked out. When that happens, it's hard to beat anybody.

Not sure it would make much of a difference if we are going to play this caveman play to not lose crap that Mario runs…

Beck isnt good.

Dawson has been a poor playcaller, but hes also handcuffed to this guy with a noodle arm and overconfidence. The picks he has thrown are numerous and impressive in their predictability. Everyone had 'Carson Beck throws a pick in the endzone to lose a game' on their BINGO card.

He chose him...so he can eat ****, too.

Be careful of the QB you saddle yourself with and pay. Beck was risky, but the allure of this guy was too much after Mateer chose OU. The upside was fun to project. But his arm is absolutely cooked but hes out there throwing some terrible balls and ones he has no business throwing with hubris.

Brutal stuff.

Lesson for life, really.

Why would that be such a hard thing to have done.Did they think that anyone thought they were going to pay him whatever how many millions they were going to pay for him to come sit?

This sounds kind of fishy to me as the reason he chose to go elsewhere…

And I’m going to keep saying it…

You had posters on here pre-season and during fall camp saying Beck was an UPGRADE to Cam…

Still ****es me off…freaking disrespectful

Bet them haters would love to have *1 now wouldn’t you…

Well 🤭🫳🏽 to ya…
Posters? DMoney's podcast partner. The one with two last names said it.

I really don’t care one way or another, I was simply responding to a post Re: Mendoza…

As I said, if I recall correctly; this was stated…

Pitt game is the eaiest loss for sure

Last game of the season, another flight after being at VT the week before. Although it doesnt get that cold up here anymore Thanksgiving it wont be that nice and that stadium is an awful slow place to play
