The culture change we need has to start at the top. I'm talking athletic director and BOTs. We have problems with accountability, nepotism, and favoritism.
Don't forget the bad fans. You know, the ones that call coaches, administration and players out when they aren't getting the job done. According to some, we are part of the problem as well. Now I could be wrong, but I don't think we are the ones causing any of the real issues, but some actually think this way.bad administration( those who decide how the university is ran)+bad coaching(scheme)+players (culture)=the death of Miami hurricane football program.
Nelson took a lot of heat, and rightly so at times. But there were an awful lot of issues picking up inside blitzes between the tackles.
What in the **** does Manny knows about building a culture when he himself isn’t a natural leader? He’s never been a part of a championship culture, never was a part of a high performing organization, he was once fired from a program with a broken culture, and in fact, he’s never even played sports, let alone the game of football.
So, again, I ask, what does a man with that pedigree know about creating a championship football culture?
Manny is a “buzzword” kind of guy. Probably took a few leadership classes, read a couple HBR articles on culture, heard the word thrown at a few football camps, and now he’s trying to fashion himself as Lombardi or Belicheck. These players don’t respect him at all nor do they believe in him, and you can see it in their demeanor. Manny can bring in an entirely new team and he’d get the same results, because he isn’t a natural leader. And for **** sure he doesn’t know anything about creating a championship or high performing culture.
You can never properly lead men if they don’t believe in you or respect you. A culture cannot raje root this circumstance

in order to run enos system u need legit oline talent. elite talent. a spread allows u to get by with lesser talent on oline. culture is an issue but so is scheme both can be true at same time. It can be true that players have 0 accountability accept losing to easily and no show games with effort, it can also be true that at same time coaches not putting them in positions to succeed especially on offense. Knowing u got a very young oline that can do what u want u need to adjust run what they can block up.I keep hearing that we need a culture change and couldn't agree more, however, this alone will not necessarily fix everything.
Even if you have a winning culture, great players, and tons of depth you still have to roll it out on gameday and have a scheme.
What Manny needs to figure it is does Enos' under center, slow huddling offense fit the scheme he wants.
If the answer is yes then just go out and get new players and change the culture and we'll be alright.
If the answer is no, we still need a culture change, new players, better depth etc. but then you need scheme which means a new OC and staff.
It has been stated multiple times that SoFla high schools run spread offenses. Other than holding on to past Canes glory, I can't imagine why Manny is reluctant to change his offense to mirror what high schools here are doing. Perhaps that is one reason we lose so many recruits.
At any rate, we can all agree we are in a rebuild and we are stuck with Manny for now. I hope he makes the right decision.
This is without a doubt on the money however unlikely to happen. The culture change we need has to start at the top. I'm talking athletic director and BOTs. We have problems with accountability, nepotism, and favoritism.
I agree with this. Enos' offense is not inherently bad. It is, however, a bad fit for what we have on this team, especially the O-line. He needs to either learn to scheme with what he has available, or go somewhere that his scheme will work.It starts up front. IF, and it's a big IF, you have a dominant offensive line you can do what we were trying to do. Enos would have rocked it a Alabama. The stupidity was trying to do it here with our young offensive line. We don't change the scheme it isn't going to get any better.

The real question is you take the same scheme/coaches/players with the attitude from the old days vs. the exact team and mental attitude with a spread offense. What is our record based on those two options. I am betting we have a better record with the attitude change than scheme. I am not saying we don't need to move to the spread...we do. However, that alone won't put us on top. We need a new attitude...a toughness.I keep hearing that we need a culture change and couldn't agree more, however, this alone will not necessarily fix everything.
