Culture Change at Miami

I know this has been discussed for years, but I think that the situation was worse than we know. From what I heard there were years where a lot of the players were more interested in partying, ladies, smoking etc.

I really feel the difference in year 3 of Cristobal. Seems like the players they are bringing in are guys that love Football and love the grind. We need players who care about football, the team and winning more than anything else.

From what I've observed and heard from insiders, the players are all in on football. Coming in early and leaving late, organizing team work on their own, watching film etc.

The first 2 years have been disappointing, but I think that this is the year where he has "his guys" leading the team. I believe we will see the difference week 1 in the swamp.
Georgia players have like 347 traffic violations in the last 3 years and they also have two titles. Win games.

Just so happens ,I have been pouring over stats from last year and say what you will about Manny but the man can coach defense. PSU was number 1 against the run last year in both yds/game and yds/carry.

PSU was #2 in Total D in case you are wondering.

As usual padding stats against inferior teams. Just a reminder that Michigan didnt throw a single ******* pass in the second half.

Real talk, Miami had a night game one time, and I went to a day party in Winwood and saw Gilbert Frierson. Couldn’t believe that ****. Then immediately after that game I saw John Campbell and Cleveland Reed at Booby Trap with some other players
What happens at the Trap stays at the Trap. First round on you Thursday.

Hold some accountability for once. Mario did it for like 2 games last year when he pulled Cohen and Taylor after personal fouls. What happened when George and James Williams committed their personal fouls? They were out there the very next play.

2020:
Xavier Restrepo
Jalen Rivers

2021:
Jacolby George
Elijah Arroyo
Ryan Rodriguez
Chase Smith
Andres Borregales

2022 (pre-Mario):
Isaiah Horton
Wesley Bissainthe
Markeith Williams

10 guys on a 83(?)-scholly roster, and I think Horton and Bissainthe wouldn't have been Canes without Mario. I am happy all of them are still Canes. Most are already proven to be legit. Of those who are still unproven ... I still believe Chase is going to turn heads this season. Mirabal glowed about Rodriguez in a recent media Q&A. Flo was saying Williams is going to be in the starting rotation and shock people with how good he is. And Horton just needs to get healthy.

Explains why all 3 of them were bums here and didn’t finish their careers in Coral Gables. These were technically Richt guys too. Man that 2018 class had a bunch of slapdick bums.

The only ones worth a **** were GR15, Mallory, Jordan, and Cam Harris. Jordan Miller was actually decent and he gave a **** at least.

He got out before he could recruit LBs for 4 years. But yes he was fine as a DC.

He can coach another coach’s recruits. The moment his guys start coming in is when it starts to unravel
