I agree with you, OP. The Manny kids left are stamped by Mario as a cultural fit or they wouldn't be here. It's 100% Mario's team right now. And from the little information that trickles out that's not totally curated by Mario's staff, it does appear that this team is locked in and doing all the right things to prepare themselves for victory. Now it's time to see the finished product.

Vegas predicts 9-10 wins. Personally, I believe this team is going to overachieve. I especially think they'll come prepared for Game 1 and put on a show. They're healthy and loaded. After that, they have to be able to handle the grind and any adversity they face along the way.

While true, that factoid is pretty irrelevant to the bigger point I was making which is that the vast majority of guys who've left haven't been culture fits and as such, haven't amounted to much elsewhere. Thanks for the clarification though.

Just so happens ,I have been pouring over stats from last year and say what you will about Manny but the man can coach defense. PSU was number 1 against the run last year in both yds/game and yds/carry.
