If the Canes want to win this year— Kosi should be the starter....

Look— i’ve Been a major critic of Kosi since last year... but watching those VT replays shows me he is clearly the better QB.

If Canes want to maximize wins this year against the rest of ACC schedule— it needs to be Kosi at QB1

But...

If the plan is to use 2019 as “warm up” for 2020 and getting JW game time reps to improve his development, the sure let him play, get pummeled with 20 sacks a game and throw up slow-assed floaters and dinky-dunky pee-wee football passes— then let him play.

Kosi’s clearly better at:
  • High velocity short and long passes
  • He has better timing with his WR/TE’s
  • His WR/TE clearly respond and are better in tune with him
  • Puts the ball exactly out front of the WR on the run
  • Puts touch to get it to his WR in stride
  • Negative: still flings it up for grabs under rush pressure— which is what killed us last year— can he stop this stupidity?
Williams skill sets are clearly:
  • Methodical and careful
  • Slow as **** reads and release
  • Floater long balls that take forever to get down field
  • He CAN”T see to put the ball ahead of a streaking WR to run to... seems he needs stationary targets
  • He lacks that intuitive ability to time his throws to where the receiver is ¨going to be”
  • Thowing off his backleg like he never got basic QB101 training for 2 years?

I wonder if Diaz’s doesn’t carry some kind of prejudice against Kosi from what he heard from MRC in 2017/18 when Kosi was being a dipsh*t with his behaviors and social media foolishness?

At minimum we need a 2 QB rotation for the rest of 2019 and let them battle it out on the field of play for who’s better...

This season might as well become “training season” for 2020...

This post is going to make KrazyCane nut himself. Remember that scene in American Pie where Nadia is touching Jim's leg and dude busts... KC is Jim, Perry is Nadia.

Kosi will always be good for 2-3 boneheaded throws resulting in should be int.'s per game. This disqualifies him from being a starter who will succeed. He just doesn't have it upstairs.

NKosi finished with 422 yards 4 TDs, 1 INT in a game where he wasn’t expecting to play. Fit that stat against any game before and we win by multiple TDs.

Jarrens best game was against UNC 309 yards 2 TDs followed by 254 yards against Bethune... Our Wide receivers would’ve revolted if he continued to be the QB.

It’s clear who the best QB for this team was in one game I’m sure that was obvious during the QB competition as well.... choosing the right QB was the first thing Manny and Enos failed at this season.

In hindsight it's clear Jarren's arm wasn't right. If he's not 100% Kosi should stay the starter, I just don't get the Tate thing, he's basically 0 for his career on beating out QBs in college. I know some people visualize a poor man's Manzel out there on Saturdays but at some point he has to throw it, which he has never shown he can do consistently here.

As far as Perry goes, I was at the game and yes he made some big plays. But he does seem to have mental lapses at moments and also threw two picks, one of which was returned for a TD that would have basicallt ended the game if not called back by penalty.

I can see why it can be tough to trust him at times.

We'll see.

We’ll soon see if N’Kosi has it. I’m more comfortable with a true dual threat QBs because of the OL..

Why is it clear that JW’s arm isn’t right?

The first I saw JW was in the under armor AA game where he consistently underthrew wide open receivers including Mark Pope.

Then he got to Miami and practice reports had him throwing INts and unable to connect on the deep ball.

The he played in scrimmages and spring game where he was reportedly unable to throw the deep ball and had a similar turnover stat line to the rest of the QBs.

Then he plays 4 games and 1 quarter where he shows time after time that he cannot throw the ball effectively over 20 yards.

The ball to Wiggins that was picked was aired out, just late, floated, and was inaccurate. I’m not of the belief that people with a separated throwing shoulder can throw a football 40+ yards, not buying it. I’m sure he is banged up, he has taken plenty of hits. But people made the same excuses for Malik at some points and it wasn’t real.

The first pick was an obvious PI, there was heavy contact with the reciever before the ball got there and the DB wasn't making a play on the ball. The second ball had no strength to it at all, that ball floated on him completely and wasn't his typical throw, regardless of his arm strength.

Comparing him so far to Malik is ludicrous. He had zero picks through four games, Malik couldn't go four series and at time four plays without throwing one.

Only comparing the shoulder injury excuse for the throws.

It's not even close.

Jarren is the safe loser pick. Our offense ranked in the 100s in several categories with him.

I'll take the points and explosive offense Perry gives us even if it means a mistake here or there.

Jarren can shove his completion percentage and horribly performing offense up his a-hole. Perry has the juice.

You start Kosi this game ONLY if you want to try and win it.

Otherwise let's continue with this coaching fiasco of a season and really show everyone how to have this dumpster go up/down in flames

If Kosi cant do it over the next few games...throw all caution to the wind...send in Martell or Dallas with lighter fluid.

Blow this offense up or get it lit...one way or another

I really didnt care who the starter was coming into the season, may the best man start! But if you can't see the difference in the offense with Perry you are blind. All receivers get open, move faster and show their talent. JT4 is a different talent with Perry

Kosi did things last night that is 1-2 years and special talent gap ahead of JW....

I was a huge JW booster and Kosi hater-- but Kosi has proven me wrong....

Let this kid play QB1..... he is clearly BETTER than 2018...now getting real QB coaching under Enos.

Going back to JW would mean REDUCING the explosiveness of this Offense.

Kosi is a GAME TIME PLAYMAKER.... something you can't coach-- it's one of those "intangibles" in special players.

I'm guessing he doesn't do well in the film room and on the practice field...but in a real game, his intuitive gifts come out....

Some people suck at "test taking" but have the street smarts and inherent skills to go a good job in life....

JW is the nerd the "teachers like"

Kosi is the C+ kid in class but has the ability to be a boss on field....

Let the kid play!

I don't care who starts but it is silly to say that Kosi is a clear QB1. Neither QB can connect on a long pass. Kosi is a little better scrambling but Jarren shows better short to medium range passes.
