Crowd at Today's Game

The crowd was commensurete with the opponent.

It true but in years past if we lost a game the way we did vs LSU then came home against a FCS school stadium is like 30% full. The game was at least 65-70% based on what I could see on TV.

This is those intangible Richt's name brings. (Fans showing to games they typically don't show up for, and getting a IPF within 2 years)

How was your new suite? The cornerstone club was pretty sick.
Very disappointed, when I looked at the virtual view, the North end had glass panels but not the south. The director of client experience confirmed that was correct, however, there were 4 tinted panels directly in front of the seat. There was at least 8 kids in there yelling and banging utensils on the counter and their parents didn't say a word. I'm emailing him Monday, I didn't pay a crap ton of money for that. Aside from the view point, I much more preferred the end zone suite

Crowd was fantastic. Lots of energy considering the circumstance. Fun game, fun tailgate, lots of fun to be around the fam.

I’ve come to take this L like a man.

You’re right. Crowd was a ton better than expected. I was wrong.

Guess the past decade has made me expect the worst.

Nice job by the fans.

Anyone giving odds in Vegas whether or not Savannah St scores a TD this year ?

By the way, the "crowd" for the UAB-Savannah St game was 27,000. i think that included players, cheerleaders, and the bands

I was there. It was a bigger crowd than I expected. I'd guess close to 50k. Way more then we ever get for cupcakes.

**** that sucks homie! I would be ****ed as well, the cornerstone was legit, the glass panels in mine open up so we were getting an open view. The stadium workers weren't allowing the 200 people to come into our section during the game and staying around, only during halftime which was nice. Also there were 2 guys In there that actually follow recruiting so it was cool talking about something and them actually knowing what was up with the QB situation.

Wow, I'm in section 225 at the Dolphins game now and they're letting us in and out as we please. Also free drinks (not alcohol)

Is there anyway of finding out actual attendance? They do scan all the tickets, so it is known.

That’s a good question.

My guess is that my tickets are scanned by Dolphin/HR employees, and that information is likely shared with UM. When, where and how.. the logistics? I have no clue. But my guess is at some point, the Hurricanes ticket office/administration gets the information although it may not be immediate, maybe in days or weeks? I do know I get a follow up email after every game I attend, although I don’t know if they use the scanned ticket database or just all the tickets database.

I’m not an IT guy, but you have to guess that that information is collated on to some type of a mainframe or more central database, and what they do with it and where goes from there, I don’t know. Just guessing though

Yea they let them come in get a drink and leave lol no lingering around. hopefully it stays like that I was a drama free experience lol.

I was surprised that many fans showed up for that team and after last weeks whoopin. Props to them

I was more charitable than I had planned, Dwins... I gave Rosier two series before starting to boo him. The game experience was fun, but I just can’t talk myself into believing in these coaches at this point given the excuse making. Scratching my head about a lot of things right now.

That said, this fan base is supporting their team, that stadium is amazing, and the game day experience is very, very good.

On the other hand, it was reprehensible how the QB snaps were shared last night.

Excuses? Anything these coaches say in public is coachspeak. They’re not going to come out and say, “we don’t have a good starting QB and our backups are either worse, or aren’t ready yet.” I only care in what they say behind closed doors and results. The rest is just BS anyway.

I’m need to retract this statement. It was made after tailgating since 8am and waiting in the student section for a hour. There was obviously far more than 15k people there.

The student entrance is a disaster, BTW. Outrageous the line they have to wait in. Glad I recognized what was going on and we bailed and walked over to the next gate.

OT: maybe this is just me getting old, but **** if it doesn’t seem like college girls wear way less clothes than they did back in my day. ****.

Well, the results, including the allotment of playing time, seem to indicate they think Rosier can somehow either get better, or is good enough.

I just don’t see what the downside would have been to having Rosier sit one out and coach from the sidelines while we gave the other three serious game time to see what they could do in live action. Every rep #12 takes starting with the final whistle of the LSU game is a wasted opportunity.

I hope I’m wrong, but absent willfull delusion, my faith is shook, to say the least.

Your faith should be shook in our QB situation. Because from where I sat, Perry didn’t look any better than Rosier against a junior college team in a scrimmage.

And the reason Richt let Rosier play the snaps he did should be obvious.

If it’s obvious, it’s not to me...

I’m not sure how the fact that our coaches are telling us we don’t have a QB better than what Rosier has shown is supposed to make me feel more confident. It’s my understanding that it’s the job of a college football coach to bring in good players and then get them ready to play.

Think harder.

Richt is covering his bases. He’s not sure if Perry is ready, so he gives Rosier 12 pass attempts to try and get his confidence back and not completely destroy it.

It’s about winning games and managing his shltty QB situation. The situation we are in is on him, but it is what it is, and he still has to manage it. Blindly throwing in Perry before he is ready, could also ruin his confidence, and then you have nobody. That should be fairly obvious.

Agree or not, he’s trying to have it both ways with the quarterbacks, call it an insurance policy. He needs both of them engaged and somewhat confident.
