I just can't believe we had all four committed at one time. In comparison to last year, it would be like having yearby, cook, michel, and powell. Probably even better than those four.
Not even close.
You could honestly make a case that Powell was a better prospect than all 4 of them as a senior. Granted, these kids haven't finished their season yet.
That is a major stretch, but Cook and Sony were on a different level for sure. yearby's lack of size is the only reason I put him on Dexter's and Scarlett's level also.
I don't think it's a stretch if you saw Powell play live. He was special. Scarlett disappointed last year
I would rank them
Cook, Sony, Scarlett, Yearby, Williams, Powell, then Walton/Cronk about the same
So let's say Scarlett continues to blow up this year aka like Cook did as a senior. Where do you rank him afterwards?
IMO. As of right now, coming in as prospects. (This is subject to change after the season and all star games.)
Cook, Sony, Yearby, Scarlett, Williams, Walton, Powell/Cronk
Now, I'll add in. I do think Scarlett and Wiliams have potential to end up 5 star players after the season and all star games.
Now potential wise as prospects, I can see Scarlett as high as first or second on my list potentially if everything falls in his favor on the season and all star game.
Williams potentially could fall into 2nd to 4th prospect wise of my list pending his season and all star game.
Walton I can see move up one more on my list to about Yearby level as a prospect, if Walton stayed in 16 I would have rated him as a potential 5 star, he's most likely a high 4 for 15.
Only reason I don't have Yearby higher as a prospect was due to size, Yearby would have been a 5 star back if he wasn't lacking size. Size is Only reason why I rate Michel as a prospect higher than Yearby but as players I view them same level.
As far as players careers so far in college. Yearby and Michel lead the way over Cook and Powell. But it's still very early.
