That was the same Ridge squad that had former Miami commits Bentavious Thompson (who ended up at UCF) Billy Gibson (Oregon) & Diamonte Howard (FAU), they were all eventually processed out though. Also other kids like Shawn Davis (UF), Antwan Collier (UCF), Nadarius ***an (Cuse), Randy Charlton (UCF) & James Head Jr (Indiana).

The OC on the Ridge team, was none other than David Cooney.

Frierson has been the one calling Gamble, just letting him know we coming.

Yep, him and Billy Rolle did a number on Gables [ Gamble, Head, ***an ] Killian [ Scaife, Wiggins, Thompson, Collier, Johnson [Tenn] ]
and Homestead [Charlton] not to mention a Qb from Sunset, guess the talent at Southridge wasn't enough for them to win.

If I recall correctly, weren't some of our guys last year talking mad sh*t before our beatdown by LSU? They're the only ones that have been saying anything about trash talk. The similarities between next week's game and that one (Top 10 preseason team coming off ten-win season, against an unranked team with an unknown QB who nobody will pick to win) is uncanny. Also, UF's 2019 team screams 2018 Miami. They're setting themselves up for a massive letdown.

Close, but Gamble did not exactly say "scared of us" and it wasn't like he was defiantly making this bold brash statement that UM is scared of UF.
Rather, he was being prodded by the reporters and said with a smile that some of the UM players call him mostly every day. As an afterthought I heard his next sentence as ..."I'm guessing they are scared of this home."
Of course I am pro-UM and want us to win, but putting it into the total context of his conversation, Gamble was fairly mellow, friendly, and just discussing some of the typical pre-game banter wih his former teammates.
Didn't seem like he fully understood all that he was being asked, but that's a different issue that may help us if he gets in the game.
